Hello friends! It's Elena S here today and it is my first post as the designer of darling BoBunny. I will show you two cards from a tremendous collection Bella Rosa! I have taken several different sheets from this collection and have made one basis and several substrates for multiple layers. I love volume and I managed it. For this card I used a fine rose of chipboard as decoration. I have added a frame of chipboard and the word. A few wonderful roses here from foil vellum. I have a little crumpled edges in some places that the card seemed to even more volume. At the edges I have for appearance added combo stickers. In end I have added wonderful double dot jewels red color . For the second card I have again taken several sheets from a collection for volume substrates. As the main decoration I used noteworthy. As additional jewelry I have added chipboard a frame. I have a little crumpled paper in some places for volume. In end I used wonderful again double dot jewels pearl color. Have a great scrap day! It's amazing how many cards a person could get out of a 6 X 6 pad of designer paper. Carol asked me if I would be willing to teach a card class using the BoBunny Serenity 6 X 6. So the class at Scrapbook Parade will be on Tuesday, May 1st from 12:30 to 3:30, and we'll be making 6 cards! And here they are. Here are the individual cards. Hand cut top damask pattern that is repeated underneath as part of the pattern on the paper. Stamped Kaiser Craft Gypsy Sisters with Memento Tuxedo Black on Bazzill Burning Ember and framed it with Bazzill Licorice die cut with Spellbinders Labels Thirteen and Classic Ovals Large. Then added Rangers Enamel accents in black around the oval of the frame and the edges of the card. I love using a fine border of black and it works very well with this card. I used Spellbinders Labels Thirteen, Petite Ovals Large & Small, and Fancy Tags Two. Brown, beige and cream - letting the paper stand on it's own. I just added the chipboard frame with the brown backing stamped in white and the brown ribbon looped around the frame, tied with a double bow. To tie in the cream and beige with the bow I added the punched leaf branches in cream and attached two little beige flowers. This card mixes and matches the papers of the pad with intricate cutting and layering of the flowers and flourishes as well as the different papers. Because the paper in the pad is 6 X 6 and the height of the card is 7 inches, I to come up with another way to make it fit. Since there are three sheets per design, I was able to take a second sheet and add the scalloped strips ink distressed with Versa Magic Spanish Olive, covering where the scalloped strips end with the ribbon. I used Bazzil Olive and Golden Yukon cardstock to match the patterned paper. The stamped image is Hero Arts wood stamp 'Decorative Bamboo' matching the bamboo on the BoBunny Serenity paper. I punched holes near the bottom to feed the ribbon through. The sixth, and final card, again has many popped up layers that make it a thick card, but very effective and dimensional. I was going to add a turquoise jewel on the banner peeking out of either side of the circle, but forgot. Will probably do so in class. Thank you for taking a peek at the cards of this class. Happy crafting everyone!
Twist-and-pop Christmas card by Ulrika Wandler Hi there! Ulrika here to show how to make a twist-and-pop card which is so popular nowadays! I have a tutorial for you today, and I saved the best for last: A movie to show how this card works. But before that, let's start off with the measurements and how to fold the pieces. I cut out the three pieces that I used for the card. These pictures show you how to fold them. Then I decorated the piece that will pop up when the card opens. I used some sweet chipboard embellishments and some stamps together with embossing powder. Then I used some strong doublesided tape to attach the piece which is the mecanism to make the inside piece "twist and pop". As you can see I have also decorated the inside of the card. Then I attached the decorated piece on to the mechanism piece with double sided tape. Look closely on the picture where to put the tape! It's important that you only put tape in the upper right corner and lower left corner for the mechanism to work! This is the front of the card. Detail pictures of the outside and the inside of the card. Let me show you this little movie I made. Here you can see how the card works when it twist and pops! Good luck on making your own card! Hello, BoBunny Friends, today Elena is here to share a few tips for creating your own embellishments. Even if you are not an experienced stamper you can make embellishments for your cards, Layouts or mini albums with the stamps. You can choose the patterned papers for stamping instead of the white cardstock. Actually you get the color tones that matches your projects and on the other hand , you get a more complicated and finished look of your embellishment after. I made stamping on the musical notes. If your stamps are more detailed it's better to use more plain background papers, however you can play with the color tones. If you like using the flowers, leaves and vines , I suggest you to stamp them more than you need for the current project and then cut out them when you know exactly what you need and to keep the stamped images on the paper sheet Also you can stamp with different color inks, but actually black, brown and olive are the most often I use. The sky is the limit all you need is just give it a try. and of course, a bit of fussy cutting Hope that my tips will be helpful! Hello BoBunny fans, I want to share a squash album that I made use the Something Splendid papers. I have to say that it was really hard to photograph the album as it ends up really long, but they are such fun to make and really quite easy. I will talk you through the basic steps in my post. I used 3 sheets of black yardstick and then most of the papers are from the 6" paper pad in this collection, though you could cut down the larger papers to fit. You end up with four 6" squares and 12 triangles (or six 6" squares cut in half). Start by folding your card stock on the diagonal, make a really nice and crisp fold. Turn over the card stock and then score at 6" on both edges to get this shape. You need to do this 3 times. When you come to assemble the album add tape on ones of the squares as shown, notice the central crease is a mountain fold, when you join the next piece of 12" card stock you need to have the paper the other way up, so a valley fold down the centre, then the last piece has a mountain fold. Stick them together as above - you will notice that I hadn't done my folding correctly and the 2nd piece has mountain folds too - I just made sure the fold went the other way when I finished my book. Add the final piece and then fold your book up, the triangular folds on the first piece of card stock go in, on the second piece go out and 3rd piece go in and it all folds into a 6" square. I decorated my front cover with some off cuts from the main part of my book as well as the beautiful thickers that go with this collection. A couple of lines of gems and a piece of layered chipboard finished it off for me. I layered up lots of pieces from the 6" pad as they all co-ordinate beautifully, I then cut out journal cards and added gems and pearlescents to further decorate my book. Here are a couple more photos to show you the paper layers and other embellishments that I used for my album. I hope it has inspired you to have a go at creating one of these really fun albums - you could start with 2 pages, then make them larger, you could make the album smaller and use 8" or 6" papers - they are really adaptable. YES!!! I love Technique Tuesday. I ooolways learn something new. Irene is going to show us fun techniques to use with doilies! Fun! Fun! Fun! Sisters Irene Tan BoBunny Supplies: Patterned Paper: Botany, Woodland Picnic/Trail Mix Stickers: Camping Cardstock Sticker; Trail Mix Combo Stickers Noteworthy: Trail Mix Trinkets: Trail Mix Jewels: Trail Mix; Licorice Chipboard: Trail Mix 12 x 12 Clear Stamps: Trail Mix Paper Doilies: Large, Medium, Small Flowers: Natural Earth Bouquet "One of the newest add-ons in BoBunny's products are these beautiful and fun paper doilies. Recently, I've received various emails from my readers asking me, "how we can use these paper doilies besides making it into flowers, using it as stencil/mask or using it as direct layering?" The first idea that popped up in my head is altering! These are paper doilies, you can easily alter them. Here are a few ideas to share with you all. In this first idea, I've used a large doilie. Cut out the inner circle and you will get a ring with beautiful details to layer on your layout. In this second idea, use the leftover of the inner circle which you've cut out from the earlier paper doilie. Cut out another layer of smaller circle from the inner circle piece and you will get another ring to design your layout with. For this third idea, I used a medium paper doilie. Cut out the inner circle but this time, the cut area is slightly different from the earlier paper doilie. (Notice the edges of the cut out circle) Use the inner cut out circle and also cut out another smaller circle from a scrap paper to use as a mask on this paper doilie. Use a sponge and ink to do the masking on the paper doilie. This will create another journaling piece for your layout. This fourth idea is to use what is leftover from the medium paper doilie after you've used the inner circle. Fold pleats on the paper doilie ring and this will create a smaller circle which you can use to layer under tags or create a circular badge with paper doilie edges. You could also use this technique to create a paper doilie framed circle photograph. This last idea is a very simple one which you can create using the small paper doilie Cut the small paper doilie into quarters and then, fold pleats with them. This will let you create a fan like folded doilie which you can insert among your cluster of flowers. You can ink or color them with mist before adding it to your projects." Can you stand it??? Such a fun tutorial... I'm thinking I'm off to play. Don't forget... Enjoy your day, friends!!!
Welcome to another fabulous Card Challenge Tuesday! Today we have trio of cards created by our talented Bo Bunny designers using a sketch created by our very own Gabrielle Pollaco. Her sketch has inspired each designer in such a different way and I am sure you will have your own take on it as well. Check out how each designer used a different technique to "edge" the main background layer on the card. First up is this gorgeous card by Gabrielle using Bo Bunny's new Country Garden collection. I Love You Card by Gabrielle Pollacco Bo Bunny Supply List: 6x6 Paper Pad: Ambrosia Card Kit: Ambrosia Butterfly Embellishments: Country Garden For this next card, Luzma used the new Serenity collection to create a beautiful birthday card. Birthday Wishes Card By Luzma Bo Bunny Supply List: Card Kit: Serenity 6x6 Paper Pad: Serenity Jewels: Serenity and Blitzen Cardstock: Double Dots Our last card, created by Patti, also uses the new Serenity collection with a card that would make a perfect Valentine card. I'm obsessed!! That's right, I'll admit it, I'm addicted!! I just love making handmade blooms! And my latest obsession is making these Water Distress blooms. They are easy-peasy to make and the sky is the limit to the many looks you can get using this fun technique. For the above layout I used the pretty papers from the new Bo Bunny Olivia collection, the blooms were made from the coordinating Bo Bunny cardstock in 'Chiffon Dot' and 'Coral Dot'. Here are some of the products you'll want to gather together to make these blooms..... *Some Bo Bunny Dot cardstock (you can also experiment with patterned paper) *Scissors, plain ....decorative edge scissors (optional) *Flower punches (optional) *Chalk inks, glitter for decorating *Buttons & bling for centers *Spritz bottle filled with water (or glimmer mist) *Glue These are the basic things you'll want to pull together before you start. But really the basic's are carstock paper, scissors and water. Here are the steps to make these fun blooms. Step 1 For the large bloom, I punched 4 medium sized blooms out of the coral dot paper (using the Paper Shapers med. daisy punch), one large bloom from the Chiffon cardstock (using the large daisy punch) and then hand-cut 3 jaggedy edge circles (getting slightly larger than the last circle as you go....the circles do not have to be perfect, in fact imperfect circles will give a more natural look). I used a regular scissor to cut the circles but you can also experiment with decorative edge scissors. NOTE: If you don't have flower punches you can simply cut more circles in smaller and smaller sizes to create a lovely looking ruffled bloom. Step 2 To create some petals into the circles shapes, I simply cut a few small 'V' cuts into the edges. I get a more even look to the petals by making one 'V' cut, then making the next one directly across on the other side, then I make the next notch about 1/3 of the way between then and the next 2/3's of the way, then same to the other side.....this will give you 6 petals (at this point you can choose to do a little inking with some chalk inks to your cut pieces on the edges or the center).... Step 3 Make sure your paper pieces are on plastic or something water resistant (I used the top of one of my tuperware storage boxes). Very lightly spritz both sides or your cutouts with some water. You do not have to soak them, a light hand with the water will do. Now here is the fun part, just gently bring up the petals from the center and just crush up the paper, wrinkling it every which way, the more wrinkles the more of an embossed petal look you'll get...... When you are done you will have something that looks a little like this..... Step 4 Gently open up each of the wrinkled balls of paper (only leave one of the smallest pieces in a tight bud for the center) You will have something like this.... Step 5 Let the layers dry. Now simply layer the petals from largest to smallest adding a dab of glue to the center of each layer to keep them together. The large bloom to the left in the photo below is the result of the above steps (I added some Copper Stickles to the edges of my bloom to finish it off) You can also create different looks using buttons, bling & flower stamens. Variations: To get a more 'curled' petal look, you can lightly twist the petals of the punched blooms after you've opened them up, as shown here...... You will end up with an even more 'ruffled' look. I used this technique when I made my l/o called 'Daddy' using the Bo Bunny 'Cambridge' collection (I used the Cambridge Post patterned paper to make this bloom)...... For the smaller blooms on my l/o I simply used 2 of the larger punched blooms and one of the smaller punched blooms (quick & easy)...... So there you have it! Start your own obsession by experimenting with different color combinations, patterned papers, inks, spritzes, glitters, buttons and bling! Above all have fun with it! ~ Gabrielle Pollacco Products used in Gabrielle's l/o: Patterned Paper: Bo Bunny Olivia 'Nectar' & 'Cashmere' Olivia Chipboard, Olivia Combo Stickers, Bo Bunny Buttons & Bling, Bo Bunny Candy Brads, Cardstock: Bo Bunny, Chiffon dot and Coral dot.

Hi BoBunny Fans :) Today is Sketch Challenge Day!! :) and we have a real treat for you today! This months sketch is designed by our very own Lynn Shokoples!!! I've used the sketch with the lovely new Soiree Collection and the new Postale Stamps to create this layout of my great nephew - isn't he the cutest?! To give the background a bit of oomph I've roughly painted it with two shades of pearlescents - Butterscotch and Graphite. I wanted a muted background, enough that you could still see it but not so much that it took over from the design or photo, and pearlescents are perfect for this. I've used a number of the stamps from the Postale set to create a collage effect behind my papers and embellishments. I used the Licorice ink pad but I wanted a more muted color, like grey instead of black because otherwise the stamps would take over the page. To achieve this I inked my stamp up as usual and then stamped onto a piece of scrap paper, then straight onto my page. BoBunny packaging is brilliant for using in your projects, it ties in with each range, so its the perfect match! By the way! I love how you can use the positive and the negative pieces from die cutting the new Twinkle Twinkle Die :) BoBunny Supplies: Patterned Paper: Linens / Soiree Double Dot: Almond Dot Stamps: Postale, Stitches 6x6 Paper Pad: Soiree Noteworthy: Soiree Buttons: Soiree Dies: Twinkle Twinkle Foil Transfers: Gold Sentiments Pearlescents: Butterscotch, Graphite Ink Pad: Licorice Now it's challenge time! Hello everyone!! Marilyn here with you today to share a layout with the video tutorial that I created with the Jungle Life collection. I'm an animal lover and one of my favorites things to do is visiting the zoo. I made this page about this adorable giraffe. I started my page cutting a 5" by 12" piece of the giraffe paper. I cut out some images like leaves and animals from the papers and adhered foam tapes behind of each image, it gives dimension and a realistic look to the page. I made layers with the different images and papers. I distressed with the green ink from the Color Wheel by Vicky Boutin the edges of the frame from the Noteworthy package and adhered the photo to the center. I stamped some leaves on the background using the new Simply Flower stamp and the Color Wheel inks. I took a paint brush to blend the same green ink around the images, it creates a dimension effect on the background . I used the layered chipboard and the Noteworthy die cuts on my page. Finally, I added some pearls and gave white paint splatters. If you want to see how I created this page don't miss the video tutorial down below. I hope it inspires you, Thank you so much for visiting us today. Until next time! For the missing letters I used the negative space on the chipboard sheet to trace the letters F, T and H onto the chocolate dot journal paper. I then cut the letters out and adhere them with foam tape mixing them with the chipboard letters. Hello everyone! Are you up for another layout from me? Today, I'm going to share with you all a layout which I've created using the cool "Take A Hike" collection by BoBunny. Nestled In The Trees Layout by Irene Tan This is such a cool outdoor themed collection. Love the earth tones and the prints of trees, leaves, animals and logs. Here are some close-ups of this layout. On this layout, I've used a little mixed media techniques to create the crackled textures on its background. I used BoBunny crackle primer and paste to create the crackle and later, sprayed it with some bronze and mint glimmer spray. Hope you all are inspired and have fun playing!
