It was very beautiful. 【happy】 "Montage" is an elegant atmosphere, but I try to fun atmosphere. Chip board of bricks is not a body, I used the one that was pulled. Use light modeling paste in the background. And coloring, are stamped. My favorite technique. Paper:Montage Bouquet/Invitation Chipboard:Good Vibes Thank you♡

My Great-Grandfather George For this layout I used Blue Fern Studios papers for the background and Maja Design papers for most of the die-cuts. BFS Tranquility - Serenity (I used the backside) BFS Serendipity - Fascination (I used the backside) Maja Design Enjoying Outdoors - The Great Nature bs Maja Design Coffee in the Arbour - Smell of Coffee bs Maja Design Enjoying Outdoors - Spending Time I stamped the corners of the Serenity paper with a couple of clock stamps using black Archival ink. LaBlanche - Clock Background LaBlanche - Intricate Watch I ripped the corners and distressed the edges of the Fascination paper and stained them using various colours of liquid brown ink from re-inker bottles using a paintbrush. As usual I layered most of the die-cuts over a darker verison, offsetting them slightly to accentuate the edges. These are the dies and punch I used: Tim Holtz - Postage Stamp Frame Spellbinders - Marvelous Squares Martha Stewart punch - Flourish Lace Cheery Lynn Designs - Queen Anne's Lace Border These are the chipboard pieces I used: Blue Fern Studios - Mixed Chains Blue Fern Studios - Notebook Edges The Mixed Chains piece was painted dark brown, inked with clear ink and sprinkled very lightly using BFS Nutmeg embossing powder and then heat set. I then inked the edges lightly in black. The small piece of the Notebook Edges was painted with antique white craft paint and inked lightly overtop and around the edges with light and dark brown inks to grunge it up a bit. The pieces of corrugated cardboard were painted antique white and brushed with a silvery mist randomly overtop. I then brushed them with very watery brown paint and inked around the edges with brown ink. I also added some random patches of Prima Art Stones. I applied heavy matte gel and sprinkled the Art Stones on top, then tipped off the excess after the gel was dry. I also applied some brown mist overtop. I used my finger dipped in the antique white paint (dabbing most of it off on my craft mat) and rubbed it over a lot of the embellishments to highlight details and grunge them up. I used Beacon's 3-in-1 glue to adhere most of the embellishments and layers. It can be rather messy and stringy but with careful application it is well worth it. It has a really good grip once it is dry which is needed for the heavier metal embellishments. Thank you so much for taking a look!

Hi Everyone!! I was thrilled to receive the new Seaside Cottage collection. I love the beach and being near the ocean. It's my ideal vacation and I go there any chance I get. I don't live near the ocean, but whenever I go, I love taking photos on the beach and near the water. I also love collecting shells and then using them on my projects. I've created three beach themed layouts below. Here is the first one: "Calm" I used the Embark paper from the Seaside Cottage collection for the background. I stencilled it with a fish scale looking pattern and sprayed it with blue ink. The Seaside Frame and Flourish were embossed with Blue Fern Studios Oatmeal embossing powder. Then I gave it some blue touch-ups. The calm title was painted in blue and then covered in clear glittery stickles. Finally, I added Blue Fern Studios flowers and some seashells I collected during one of my trips. <<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>> "By The Sea" Here is my second layout for this month using the Voyage paper from the Seaside Cottage collection. I actually cut the background paper in half and connected the two edges in the middle so the sail boat would be in the center. Then I used some paste and stencils to create some wave like pattern to cover the seam. I used the large Blue Fern Flourish chipboard to give the photo some wave-like movement. I embossed the flourish with Sea Mist embossing powder. As a title I used part of the calling cards paper and then added some Seaside Lilies, roses and other Blue Fern Studios blooms. I also added shells of course. <<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>> "The end of a perfect day" This is my third layout this month using the Regalia paper from the Seaside Cottage Collection. I loved creating texture behind my photo by using cheese cloth like the second layout above. I also used Blue Fern Studios blooms and shells like in my other layouts To mat the photo I used a couple of pieces from the calling cards paper. I also used the "Seaside Charms" and "The end of a perfect day" title to embellish the layout. I embossed them with the Sea Mist embossing powder. Welcome to October!! I am soooo ready for some cooler weather! For my Blue Fern Studios October projects, I have 2 layouts and a mini album to share with you. The first layout is based on this month's Blue Fern Studios Sketch: It features a Rustic~Country feel, and incorporates the sketches main design into one of my FAV styles. I used 2 layers of Blue Fern Serendipity Paper. The 1st layer is Fascination, and the 2nd layer is Inspiration Paper that I cut down, inked and water distressed, layering some lace under the distressing. I added some metal latches coated with gesso to the sides, and then matted the photo out using the Serendipity Contemplation Paper and some burlap. I added a Blue Fern Small Roman Clock that was heat embossed with Imagine Ink Oatmeal Embossing Powder to the top corner of my photo, then added some feathers, mulberry paper flowers, and a cream Blue Fern Courtship Rose. I did some brick stenciling with sand paste. I then replicated the design from the sketch using a Blue Fern Ironwork Arch Chipboard Piece that I heat embossed with some Imagine Ink Oatmeal Embossing Powder. I then strung some little charms with burlap string and hung them like the pieces in the sketch. I added a sweet little rose and some of my handcrafted Tiny Treasure Delicate Beauty Butterflies. Here you can see the texture that the Oatmeal Embossing Powder gives the chipboard. (Oatmeal is one of my FAVS. I find myself grabbing it over and over again and so will you!! ) I added some feathers, mulberry paper flowers, and a cream Blue Fern Courtship Rose. Hello everyone, today I'm sharing my design team projects for July. This lovely little shabby chic tag features the Blue Fern Studios Roman Clock. You get three different sized clocks in one package. Here is the smallest of the three clocks dressed up in molding paste to make it look a little withered and some mist applied too. The background of the tag itself was created using white cardstock, printed book papers, gesso, textured paste and some mist made out of tea bags. I have enough of the back ground paper to create another project, and I love the periwinkle color so much, that I want to use it again. The ribbons are made of tule, rayon seam ribbon, and fiber with some pearl beads woven in a few of the pieces. Here is a close up of some of the ribbon work and my newly purchased Memory Box Stencil (quarterfoil panel) work on the very top of the tag. The gears/widgets are metal charms treated with some shimmery metallic paste. Some of the same paste was applied on top of the molding paste treatment on the Roman Clock. The hands on the Blue Fern Studios clock come in the chipboard package and are very ornately crafted. Here's a tag made out of the Juliana Dream paper from the Blue Fern Studios Ombre Dream Collection. Such lovely soft colors are in this paper. Here the Blue Fern Studios Layering Stem was treated with a texture paste, misted and lightly washed with a watercolor pencil. The rayon ribbon was laid down with beads woven into the ribbon to hold the ribbon down on the tag and add more texture and interest...such a delicate treatment for the ribbon. I've used it before and will use it every chance I get, because it adds so much elegance and just another wonderful detail that we so enjoy. Lucky Star Journal The beautiful Lucky Star collection was a little departure for me in that I normally don't work with the rich, dark colors of the papers. But, oh what fun I had once I got started! I had such fun layering pockets and all the papers coordinated so seamlessly. I tried a technique with this journal that I hadn't before and, of course, the Blue Fern papers performed perfectly! One of my favorite items in this project is the woven tags made from the brand strips at the bottom of the papers. They are so beautifully decorated that they needed to have a new life as part of the pattern of these tags! I love to incorporate the branding strips as an accent. Making this page with them creates a wonderful belly band that is perfect to hold tags or ephemera! Fantastic collection, Michelle, with amazing stamps, chipboard and charms to enhance any project! Welcome to the weekend. We hope you have something fun and relaxing in your plans. To to those of you in the United States, we wish you a happy Labor Day. We're here today to choose a winner for our August Sketch Challenge, and to feature some of the outstanding layouts. Here is the adorable layout Marie-Eve created using a couple of Blue Fern chipboard pieces (the Chain Link Panel, and the Friends title, which is part of the arrow words set). That title couldn't be more perfect! Now we have the pleasure of featuring some of the layouts that were entered in the sketch challenge. The entries this month were beyond amazing! There were so many exceptional layouts, that we had a very difficult time narrowing it down this month, so we have seven layouts for you. We're sure you will enjoy seeing this month's featured layouts that includes lots of adorable children, including Shirley Temple! Our first featured layout this month was created by Elisabeth of Norway. She has combined paper from the Montage collection, along with a chipboard piece from the Charmed Page Dangles, and a title from the Spiritually Speaking set of words. Everything comes together so nicely with this sweet photo. Next up is this lovely layout by Anna Rogalska who used paper from our Frolic collection. We love how Anna used this paper with an all-over pattern, and created such an elegant background for this playful photo. She tucked in a piece of the Frolic Mesh chipboard behind her photo. Tomo M of Japan rotated the sketch to create this layout using paper from the Love Story collection, which is perfect with this photo taken at a Rose Garden. The chipboard Fabulous title was the finishing touch. Lynette Jacobs of South Africa created the next layout with paper from our Deja Vu collection. We love her take on the sketch and how everything compliments the photo so well. The title is from the Perfect, Adorable, Special set of words and the large vertical piece is the Deja Vu Atelier chippie that was designed to coordinate with this collection. Nicole Doiron of Canada, like many of you, found that we like to put our chipboard in pretty packaging, which she has used behind this sweet photo (so be sure not to discard it). We love how she used three chipboard pieces (Tattered Diamond Bits, Fancy Birdcage, and Butterfly Kisses title) and has altered each of them in a different way. Way to go Nicole! Ardi du Preez of South Africa created this very dramatic layout using paper from our Sanctuary collection. The blues and browns together are beautiful! Once again, a Blue Fern chipboard title was used as well as some chipboard pieces tucked in behind the photo. Shizuka of Japan created this layout for the challenge using paper from the Deja Vu collection and the Broken Rings chipboard set. Painting the chipboard white adds so much to her layout with such a fresh look. We also loved all the fussy cutting! We hope you enjoyed this look at some of our favorite layouts from August.
