“Flesh and fleece, fur and feather, Grass and greenworld all together” or Greenworld for short, is a large sized linocut, featuring a whirl of meadow creatures and greenery. Fox, frog, hare, sparrow and squirrel, and an assortment of flowers and bugs, intertwined, intermingled, and after each other. Nightworld, on the other hand, is Greenworld's matching successor, and has its focus on nocturnal animals, such as owl, badger and bats. Together the two prints form a diptych, and they match in size, composition, and materials. Greenworld and Nightworld measures approx 50x80cm each, and are printed with Cranfield ink on Japanese Kozo. The colour is a charcoal meets Payne's grey, and is hand mixed from black, white, raw umber, violet and prussian blue. It's subtle hues, but they makes all the difference, and the overall effect is a calming, slightly vintage colour-scheme, with enough contrast to still make the details stand out. These prints are handpulled on a press by the artist, signed and numbered, and Greenworld is furthermore inscribed with the verse above from the poem May Magnificat by GM Hopkins. As a result of this process, each and every print is an unique and handmade art work, and will vary slightly from one another. These are limited edition linocuts, and as all other editions of Greenworld has sold out, this is currently the only way to get hold of a matching pair of Nightworld and Greenworld. They can either be purchased individually or as a pair (with a discount), please choose from the drop down menu <3 Greenworld and Nightworld Comes with Free Worldwide shipping <3
