Simply download and print at home. This simple sewing project is a lovely way to upcycle those scraps of fabric you’ve been saving for something special. Make moths or butterflies to wear on your bag or coat, perch on the wall or hang from ribbon for a beautiful tree ornament. Perfect little presents for your friends and family... In this project you will use a sewing machine, do some hand-stitching as well as learn some basic soft toy making skills. Skill level is beginners - basic hand and machine sewing skills recommended. The templates provided will make moths or butterflies approximately 13 cm (5 in) at widest point. To make larger or smaller moths or butterflies, simply enlarge or reduce the size of the templates on a photocopier or when printing. Please be aware that the body (abdomen) piece will be difficult to turn out if reduced by more than a third.
