A aluna do primeiro semestre noturno, Isabela Martins Moreira, explica o que é a biblioterapia e como funciona. Muitas vezes quando estamos tristes ou chateados, pegamos um livro que gostamos, e o abrimos em uma página aleatória e lemos um trecho ou um parágrafo, buscando conforto emocional, ou mesmo respostas para questões dificeis da vida. Esse ato que consideramos as vezes banal pode ser considerado como BIBLIOTERAPIA, terapia utilizada a muitos anos em hospitais e clinicas, que utiliza livros para levar paz e conforto a pacientes. Ela consiste em utilizar livros ou textos selecionados por Bibliotecários e Psicólogos, utilizados em sessões de tratamento, incentivando o paciente, atraves da leitura que ele exponha de maneira saudável seus sentimentos e angustias no ambiente da internação ou tratamento hospitalar. Aqui no Brasil a biblioterapia entra em voga, após a anuncio do projeto de Lei do Deputado Giovani Cherini, do PDT-RS, que defende o uso da tecnica em hospitais do SUS. O texto coloca também que os familiares de pacientes internados também poderão utilizar dessa terapia para amenizar o sofrimento que uma internação causa em toda a família. Outro aspecto da biblioterapia é como ela pode ser utilizada em presidios, incentivando o detento a entrar em contato com um mundo muitas vezes completamente desconhecido por ele. A importancia do Bibliotecário é de modo inegável enorme, pois, cabe a ele selecionar de maneira criteriosa o conteúdo a ser oferecido ao individuo em questão. O cuidado em levar em conta o historico de vida e o que ele esta passando no momento é essencial. A busca por tratamentos alternativos, aliados aos tratamentos convencionais não tem fim. O conforto e bem-estar que tratamentos como a Biblioterapia traz, são indescritiveis, para todas as idades e tipos de patologias e também situações. Muito válido tambem pois os resultados desses tratamentos valorizam os profissionais envolvidos, no caso Bibliotecarios e Psicologos, principalmente.
