This is an updated file from an old post. I use these almost every week. Anytime I have extra time, these are used for a quick Bible review. You can put them in any order and delete any you don't want to use. This set is two per page and in color only. Click here to download. This pack has been updated from the above pack. It is a bit more ink friendly. This is better for your non-readers. There is a picture only. Print the sheet with the picture (2 per page), then insert back into the print to print the question and answer on the back. Click here to print. ** This is the latest updated pack! If you printed the above pack, you can add the first 4 pages (= 2 pages printed on front and back) with a couple of additions. These are questions I just always ask as we do the cards, but decided to add them as flash cards for others. Click here to download the newest set. This pack has the same questions, but without the graphics. These are plain black & white as shown, but can be printed on color paper if you prefer. Click here to download the black & white set without graphics. Click here to see the first edition of the flash cards. And the early elementary set. Another original set without graphics.

In this article, we will take a look at 27 Fun facts about the Bible. Great for adults, youth, and kids to learn about the most-sold book in the world. So,
I attended a Bible teacher's workshop and wanted to share some of the photos. The photos are mine, please excuse the roughness, I miss my good camera, but you can get the general idea. And, that is what I want to do, is share ideas for teaching Jesus! I do have permission from the women that held the workshop to share the photos. Some of the ideas you see are found in old Ideashop magazines, if you still have them! If you have specific questions on how to do something, the questions for the chart, etc, let me know and I will find out. Please allow a short time for me to return the answer. Please, keep in mind, that examples for the ideas were put all over the walls, so you will not see finished bulletin boards, etc. It is ideas for you to make! And, I did not crop the photos. Here they are, in random order: Some of the walls first Jonah & the Great Fish wall visual These creation background boards are felt and/or fabric attached to a board, and then you add pictures, etc for each day of creation. I forgot about these, until I looked at the photos... and I REALLY need to make them! The base (center) of the flower has "blessed are the..." , then students add the center over that with the answer. This is the finished flower pot. Balaam The 3 kings: Saul, David, and Solomon. You can see what I did with the 3 kings here. Solomon's Temple Info Wall Jonah tossed from the boat into the water, then... Jonah in the Great Fish (I think that might be attached with Velcro and added after Jonah is swallowed), then, next is a couple of Jonah table visuals. Joseph (above) next is Prophets. Prophets Love is the Key Number 1 Judges Facts from Acts The Cross
There are so many amazing things to read and learn about in the Bible. Read these fun Bible facts with your kids and they will only want to dig deeper and add to their understanding of God's Word.
Acts is an obvious favorite book of mine, and here is another addition from Cathy's Corner!
Engage your students with this print-and-go Bible Review from the story of Eutychus. Match up the Bible facts that review this New Testament story in Acts Chapter 20. This learning tool is great for centers, Sunday school, homeschool, or just a fun activity to do with your children!
Acts is an obvious favorite book of mine, and here is another addition from Cathy's Corner!
Bible ABC's: Y is for Youngest Jacob (& Esau) These lessons can be used without the alphabet theme. Consider these an update with new ideas and printables! So... I kinda went rogue and as I was writing the lesson! I couldn't stop because it seemed like chapters 25-28 all flow together. Each section is short, but is usually divided... especially for younger students. Although this contains the stew trade, the blessing switch and Jacob's ladder dream, they can be divided by chapter. Or, taught as one lesson. The Fact Wheel briefly reviews their birth, the stew trade and the birthright event. Color and black & white are included. These can be used for Jacob and any other appropriate lesson and were kept plain intentionally for this purpose. These are a reminder that God is there for us. Students can color or paint the designs on the banner, door hanger and bookmark. Stickers can be added. String or ribbon can be added to the banner to hang and on the bookmark. A Word Search for chapters 25-28 is included. A stew maze, dot-to-dot and a puzzle are included. The puzzle has been updated with the stew food and standups. Click here to download this file with these updates only. The first is a Reader Worksheet and is divided into the three sections by chapter. This can be used as one worksheet, or review, or if you are dividing the lesson, each section can be used as needed. The wording from the scripture is as easy to read as possible with sight words while keeping to the key points with easy to answer questions. The second is a fill-in-the-blank worksheet. This is sectioned by the number. Black & white only. I designed the Trip Strip to be a cut & glue timeline. This one shown has lines for the students to write about each event. Or, they can write the scriptures. There is another worksheet without the writing space. These can easily be used for mixed age groups. Cut and glue according to directions. This is not included in the application pack. Click here to download part 1 Genesis 25 'The Stew'. Click here to download part 2 Genesis 27 'The Birthright'. Click here to download part 3 Genesis 28 'Jacob's Ladder'. These Event Cards can be used as smaller visuals and they can be shuffled for the student to re-tell the events and lay them in order. The same full-page size visuals and pictures-to-color can be downloaded below. There are alphabet mazes and worksheets included. These are half-sheets and can be used in Interactive Notebooks. Click here to see a free video on how to make and use Interactive Notebooks. There is a set of 5 and 10 piece puzzles. I added this Flip Book because the students love them, and the foldable book below does not include Jacob's dream in chapter 28. It includes the color and black & white. Click here to download the lesson and application pack. There is a one-page foldable book in color and black and white. This does not include Jacob's ladder dream. These pages can also be cut apart and used as flash cards to put the events in order. Click here to download. Click here to download the updated visuals. This file contains visuals for Genesis 25-27. All are not shown. (These are not included in the application pack.) Click here to download the pictures to color. (These are the same as the visuals but are black & white.) Click here to download the updated visuals for Jacob's Ladder in Genesis 28. Click here to download the pictures to color for Jacob's Ladder in Genesis 28. This is a file folder game that can be used to review any lesson! Thanks to Cathy Whitacre for permission to recreate and share! This is what the outside front cover will look like. This includes color and black & white. This is the inside of the file folder. This design is turned to use the inside to be long. These are the cute game pieces. There are eight of each color. Student can pick a color and add a bee for each correct answer. Or, use one bee and move the bee up with each correct answer. Play in teams, or if you have a lot of questions, each student can use a file folder and cover the numbers. Game pieces can be laid on each number, or you can use magnets or Velcro to add each bee. Store these in an envelope (these can be glued to the back) or a plastic storage baggie. These can be paper clipped to the inside when they are not being used. Click here to download. Cathy Whitacre (1950-2015) was a Christian, wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend. Cathy and her husband Gerry worshiped with the New Hope Church of Christ, in Bradyville, Tennessee. Family was one of her crowning joys in life. Married to Gerry for over 47 years they had many years of adventure and love. Her children and grandchildren kept her busy and happy. Everywhere Cathy lived from Ohio, Illinois, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee and more she made dear friends who she considered family. Cathy had the opportunity to participate in mission work for many years. She had the privilege of speaking at Ladies Days, teaching Vacation Bible Schools, and conducting workshops in Jamaica, Scotland, New Zealand, and in the United States. Cathy was involved in teaching for over 50 years, from nursery to adults. Cathy believed that Christian Education is one of the greatest mission efforts we can be involved in, and the benefits are eternal.
There were so many great items for sale this Spring for VBS that had to do with Investigators! I started at Hobby Lobby and my head just filled with all kinds of ideas! Then, Oriental Trading had a lot, so I had even more ideas in my head! Then, Lifeway had their VBS with the Agency D3, and I found some items in their store! Since I thought Investigating Bible Facts is a great idea anyway, I decided to teach the 30 weeks of Acts with this theme. I will have bulletin boards, worksheets and different ideas for this. When I can, I will have the idea usable for any Bible lessons, not just Acts. The first download is the worksheet you see above. I found the black notebooks at Dollar Tree, and the kids will add a new page each week. I have mine typed in with each week's information, and they will add a sticker or use a stamper and ink pad to the small file folder. They will cut and glue the picture to the snapshot area. If you do not want to print the pictures, you can have them draw something about the lesson. Then, they will answer the questions on the notebook paper on the right. This is an updated version and includes color and black & white. I included the updated pictures for the worksheets. It is just for a little extra cut & glue fun and the worksheet can be used without the pictures. Click here to download the updated worksheets. These are plain for you or your student to fill in. Click here to print the ACTS worksheets. Click here to print the general Bible Facts worksheet. If you plan to teach the same Acts lesson plan that I am using, then you can download the above worksheets already filled in here. You can print the above pictures here. They are for the snapshot space on the bottom left of the worksheet. I plan to have something for the students to correspond with Investigating Bible Facts that they will add to each week and take everything home when we finish our study in Acts. The above worksheets will be kept in these clipboards I found at Dollar Tree. I used the Agents of Truth tape and stickers from Oriental Trading. A few things are also from Lifeway. You can print extra add-ons here. I used my Xyron Sticker Maker (permanent refill) to apply them to the notebooks. They will also use these 1" three ring binder notebooks to add their worksheets and extra papers each week. I used the Oriental Trading Duct Tape and badge. I divided the printables between the clipboard and this notebook. Download the printables here. I found these notebooks at Dollar Tree and I will have the students glue their Bible verses inside each week. I have them ready as you see in the photo, and they will write their names and add some stickers and stamp them. Click here to print (enough for 5 per page). I also redid the passports that I use for Acts. The kids love stamping in the passport each week! These are half sheets and look more like real passports. I printed my cover on a heavy blue cardstock, and the inside on white cardstock. Everything is in the download, whether you want the weekly stamp area plain, or typed in with my lesson plan. Directions for printing are included also. Click here to print the updated passport. I also made I.D. tags, cards, etc. You really can't be an investigator without this stuff! I make something like these for Acts anyway, since Paul is traveling, so this is just a little different style. To make the lanyard I.D. (bottom left in photo) as affordable as possible, after printing and filling in the information. Fold it, glue it together, and laminate them. Use a hole punch at the top center. I found lanyard string and hooks at Wal Mart in the craft section (top left in photo). I actually purchased the parachute cord because I liked the color! Once they were cut (3 ft. each), my husband burned the ends for me to stop the fray. They look fantastic! You could use yarn or ribbon. For the I.D. wallet (bottom right in photo) after they are cut, and the information is filled in, the pieces need glued to the cardstock. Follow the directions and size that are on the document. Then, laminate if possible. The agent badge also has directions on the document. Click here to download all the I.D. printables. I went to Hobby lobby and purchased these bags and stenciled the IFA lettering on them. I already had these Crayola Fabric markers, but when I bought them, it was the cheapest way to design fabric. Follow the directions, make sure the bag is flat, handles out and up, and remember to put something inside the bag to keep any inks from leaking. I just stenciled the letters on one side. After I printed out the stencil, I carefully cut out the letters and used the negative sheet as my pattern. As you see in the photo above, I lined up the paper with the bag. I also drew a straight line for where the center triangle for the A fit (see photo). The students will store their pens/pencils/crayons/notebooks and extra items in these for the whole study of Acts. Yah! Thanks Beth @ 123 HomeSchool 4 Me for featuring this post! Click above to see it! Hashtags: #Biblefun #IFABiblefuninActs #bookofacts
This is a short (but special) post with a set of Bible Fact Cards that can be used for Bible memory for preschool. After a prayer and songs, we begin our lessons with this Bible review. I have added a newer updated set of flash cards. There is just picture on the front with the question and answer on the back. Click here to download this new set. These can be used in any order and any cards can be deleted. These are great Bible facts for preschoolers to learn and you might be surprised at how fast they remember the answers! Even though each fact is a statement on the card, we ask the students the questions. Since they can’t read yet, the cards are to help the teacher. Depending on your students, some will recognize the numbers and pictures. But, seeing the visual will help students remember the answers. I also used these cards in my second grade class when I had extra time. They worked great! We went more in-depth with the answers. The students were really interested and had a lot of fun. It was interesting to see how much they knew. Print on cardstock, cut in half, laminate if possible. You can put them on a snap ring to keep them together. Or, I have found it is easier to use a binder clip to hold them together. I can lay down the cards as I use them. Click here to download. Do you have more Bible facts that you have preschool students memorize? Leave a comment and I will add more cards with suitable Bible questions. Thanks! Yah! This the 500th post! And, I have over 140 more in the works! I have most of next year's posts planned, started and/or completed! Thanks so much for being here! I appreciate it!

After King Solomon, the nation of Israel fell into a civil war and divided into the Northern Kingdom of Israel and the Southern Kingdom of Judah (where Jerusalem was located). Israel (the Northern Kingdom) fell to the Assyrians around 722 B.C. while Judah continued for more than 120 years. The prophets warned Judah, however, that judgment was coming for their sin. Jeremiah was one of those prophets. He spoke for God and told them they would be conquered by the Babylonians and would be in exile for 70 years. “Exile is coming,” He declared! This was not a message the people wanted to hear, but it was true and in 587 B.C. Jerusalem and the temple were finally destroyed by the Babylonians and most of the people were deported to Babylon. This Exile Is Coming! Jigsaw Puzzle will help kids understand the sorrow Jeremiah felt over the coming destruction of the city and temple He loved.

This is an overview (extended) lesson on Peter. The visuals and lesson are included along with a matching worksheet. This can be used as a Chalk Talk. Cathy has these visuals in her Bible class materials and I was permitted to recreate them to share with you. I created them a year ago before posting and as I was checking everything, I decided I didn't like the graphic that was used for the large visuals. Cathy used a page size rooster head and when I tried to enlarge any of the graphics I could find, they didn't look right. Some of you saw the original post before I decided to temporarily disable it so I could update it. So, I hope you will give this one another chance! So, although I have really tried to recreate all of Cathy's printables to be like hers, this one is different. I decided to use a full rooster instead of just the head for the full size visuals. These look much better. And, in the last year with a new program I am using, I am able to make the visuals look so much better. And, I liked this so much, I decided to teach it! I had one extra week to fill, and used this one. Peter is just so interesting and I love being able to teach all the main points of a Bible person at one time. The kids (and me) learn and remember more when you see it like this. I have to say "Great lesson, Cathy." To use this as a Chalk Talk, follow the Add... that are in parenthesis in the lesson outline below. This can be written on a chalkboard, or whiteboard. Or, you can write the words before class and refer to them. Click here to download the visuals. Since I decided to teach this lesson, I added a corresponding worksheet. I let the students fill in the spaces with short key words as we discussed the lesson. Click here to download. The lesson is condensed overview of Peter's life. The numbers you see in the lesson correspond with the numbers in the above visuals download. Click here to download. Cathy Whitacre is a Christian, wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend. This post is to make it easy for you to find the order of all the lessons available for Letters From Paul. Just click on the picture of the lesson you'd like to see. Also, there might be other lessons, bulletin boards, projects, etc. for a lot of the lessons, so you can use the search bar on the right if you are interested to see if more posts are available. There are several lessons listed below that I normally teach, but due to how the class schedules are set up where we worship now, I figure out what I think the kids will learn the most in a year's time. And, I haven't had time to make everything for the lessons I didn't teach to add to the blog. So, eventually, Lord willing, I plan to add them. 1. The Bible N/A This is a lesson on basic Bible with an overview of who does what in the Old & New Testament. How many books/letters, etc. I pretty much review this with them over the year I have them anyway. Click here to download one of the papers I used to review basic Bible, leading up to Paul. 2. Worship N/A I didn't teach this one recently since I taught the basic lesson for Eutychus, which you can find here with a choice of printables. 6. Bee Who Jesus Wants You To Be (Romans 1:28-32) 7. Run the Race (1 Corinthians 9:24-27) 8. Love (1 Corinthians 13:1-13) 9. Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-26) 10. Who Can Be a Christian? (Galatians 6) N/A 11. Be a Light (Ephesians 5:8) 12. The Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-20) 13. Obey the Rules (Titus) N/A
