From the bestselling author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda! One of TIME MAGAZINE’s 100 Best Fantasy Books of All Time The BFG is no ordinary bone-crunching giant. He is far too nice and jumbly. It's lucky for Sophie that he is. Had she been carried off in the middle of the night by the Bloodbottler, or any of the other giants—rather than the BFG—she would have soon become breakfast. When Sophie hears that the giants are flush-bunking off to England to swollomp a few nice little chiddlers, she decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her! “This warmhearted tall tale, published a year before Dahl picked up the World Fantasy Award for Life Achievement, artfully whisks readers away on a magical journey through London, Giant Country and beyond, to a realm of wild imagination.” -- TIME Magazine

A lovely painting inspired by the brilliant Roald Dahl's book 'The BFG' This has been hand painted using watercolours and ink on watercolour paper. Featuring Sophie sitting in the hand of The Big Friendly Giant. The painting pictured is A4 size, but the size can be changed as preferred. I have added some different sizing options which can be chosen via the drop down menu. A3 - 21.0 x 29.7cm or 11.69 x 16.53 inches A4 - 21X29.7 cm or 8.27x11.69 inches A5 - 14.8x21 cm or 5.83x8.27 inches This artwork is offered unframed as standard, it will be sent in a card backed envelope. If you would like the painting to come to you framed as pictured, please select the 'Framed' option. Please note - if purchasing the painting framed for delivery outside of the UK, please select that option as the price of postage overseas is significantly higher than for unframed. A3 sized unframed paintings can be shipped outside of the UK, but please contact me for a shipping quote before ordering as the cost of posting A3 items is higher than A4 and will need to be changed manually depending on location. Frames will be Black as standard. Your frame can be changed to white for no additional charge - please 'add a note' when checking out if you'd prefer a white frame. *Shipping and dispatch* Most of my watercolour paintings are made to order and will be posted within 3-5 working days. During busy periods (June/July November/December) this will be closer to 5 working days. During less busy periods it's likely I can post sooner than this, but please send a message before ordering if you're in a hurry for your items. *Priority Despatch/First Class* UK Only - I hold a small quantity of paintings ready to post for those selecting Priority Despatch/First Class shipping. This will be a flat rate of £6 and includes my 'overtime' of completing things when I'd otherwise be sleeping! Orders will be completed and posted First Class within 2 working days or sooner when Priority dispatch is selected. Items shipped outside of Europe usually take between 1 and 2 weeks to arrive, however international shipping can sometimes take up to 4 weeks and occasionally longer.
