Well I saw my first bridge card online the other day, and wanted to make one of my own. So I chose some of my wonderful Fun Stampers Journey products, and this is what I came up with: I started out with a piece of Whip Cream card stock that measured 8 x 4.25 inches. It was scored at 1.25, 2.5, 5.5, and 6.34 inches and folded as show. I then cut another strip of Whip Cream card stock for the bridge, 5.25 x 1 1/8 inches. This made for the base pieces of the card. I then cut pieces of the Sunday Adventure Prints polka dot paper (which has the coffee cups on the back) to fit each section of the card leaving a small border around each piece. I used Cranberry Bliss card stock for the bridge. The sentiment and the coffee cup were stamped in black licorice ink onto Whip Cream card stock. The sentiment was fussy cut and attached to the center section of the card. The cup was colored using the Color Burst colored pencils, die cut using the matching die set and attached to the left side of the bridge. Using the Sunshine Alphabet letters, I spelled out coffee across the bridge. The bridge was then attached to the card using white liner tape for extra strong hold. When folded down, this card will fit in a standard A2 size envelope. For some added fun, I cut flowers from Pineapple Smoothie using the Tattered Blooms Minis, die. The next layer of the flowers was cut from the Cranberry Bliss card stock using the smallest of the blossoms from the Summer Pretties punch cartridge (retiring at the end of June and is on sale now, while supplies last!!!) Finally I placed a small white Party Burst dot in the center of each flower and glued them onto the card base and bridge as shown. This card was super fun to make and I am sure I will be making more in the future. I hope you enjoyed it and will try making one for yourself! Today is day 3 of my make it to manager bundles. I need to reach a certain sales amount to achieve this goal. So for 30 days I will be offering a bundle for each project I create. Hi, and welcome to another Simple Stamping Techniques Blog Hop. This month we are creating an Easel Card and as it is close to Mother's Day here in Australia, I thought I would make that my theme. My darling mum is 91 this month and she lives in a nursing home in another state. I'm sure she will love this card which I will hand deliver on my next visit. I really like this stamp set "Tea Together", and am thrilled to see that it, and the coordinating framelit dies "Tea Time", are carrying over into the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue 2019 -2020. Here is my card. I stamped the tea pot, cup and flowers onto water colour paper. I kept some Archival Black ink when it retired, and used this to stamp the images.(Stazon does not agree with me!) Then the colouring happened - my favourite and most fun part of the process. I've been using the new In Colors quite a bit the last few days and enjoy the combinations, but when it comes to water colouring I used lots of different colours together. They are all listed in the products section below. For example the tea pot is painted with Seaside Spray, Highland Heather and Night of Navy. I've been experimenting with embossing folders recently and had this lovely copper embossed Tin Tile piece of card that went perfectly with the vintage style of the card. So I chopped it up and used it. The basic recipe for this card is: Thick White Card: 19cm x 10.5cm Score in half at 9.5cm Score one half again at 4.75. This will give you the basic structure. You can see a good tutorial on this on Splitcoast Stampers: https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/easelcard The background embossed card is matted onto Copper Foil then Purple Posy card - one of the new 2019 -2020 In Colors from Stampin' Up! HINT: It helps to use dimensionals on the layers on the lower front of the card so that it can act as a stopper for the image section. It's always lovely to receive a card that is hand made and more so when it is a fancy or different fold. This style is easy and can be created in many shapes: square, circular, oval, or rectangular. Check out the awesome samples that the Design Team have contributed. You'll find lots of inspiration- simply follow along with the list of names. · Ann Craig - Australia · Libby Dyson – Australia · Leonie Schroder - Australia · Delys Cram – New Zealand · Narelle Fasulo - Australia · Heike Vass - Germany Tamra Davis - USA Also if you like my card and would like to purchase the products to create your own, simply select the products in the list below and you will go straight to my on-line store. It's time for another one layer challenge at Less is More and the theme this week is Beverages. I have made a few cards this week and here they are. I saw these sentiments attached to this Art Impression image online somewhere and they really amused me. I also love these girls, they really look as though they know how to party! Whilst I was waiting for this stamp to arrive, I wondered if I had any other image which would work in the same way and I came up with this one. I stamped the image onto a piece of copy paper, then using Microsoft Word set to 105% which makes the screen size match with an actual A4 sheet, I drew the callouts and added the sentiments. To get the position of them lining up with the image, I held the paper over the screen and moved the direction and orientation of the callouts appropriately. I printed the card and then stamped the image using a stamp positioner to get it placed accurately. When the AI Girlfriends stamp arrived I realised that the same arrangement of sentiments worked for this one too! I love chickens! Bugaboo and a computer generated sentiment. This is another Art Impression stamp that I've had for some time, I love the sketchy nature of it. I don't remember the make of the sentiment. This one has an old Stampin' Up image, heat embossed in silver. It says CLINK at the top. I thought that the snowy embossing folder from Sheena Douglass was rather redolent of champagne bubbles. I feel as though there should be some cups of coffee to balance out all the hooch, but I've been struggling with a bad back this week and the thought of a little of the glass that cheers seemed more appealing! I'm sorry the pictures are dreadful, but I've tried a different arrangement in my craft room and haven't found the right spot for photos yet!
I was drawn to the Layering Diorama dies from Stampin' Up! not so much because they could layer on top of each other, but because I like the organic, flowing shapes. I've used them here with the 'Nothing's Better Than' set to create a retro style card. Thanks CAS Colors and Sketches (#427) for the colour inspiration. Note: Here are another couple of cards on a similar theme, since I've been playing around. Ingredients: Stampin' Up card: (Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Basic White, Merry Merlot), ink (Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso), Dies (Layering Diorama, Love You More Than), Nothing's Better Than stampset

Hello! Frugal Chick here, serving up a cup of "Shoppin' My Stash" blend just for you! Have you visited Betsy Veldman's new online store, The Greetery? Warning: If you visit, you will want it. All of it! Betsy used to design for Papertrey Ink, and it seemed as though everything she created was gold. I have a LOT of Betsy's PTI designs in my collection. Her new company, The Greetery, is very innovative. The look is really original, with a painterly, artistic quality. She has a coffee set with dies and a matching coffee coaster mat die that I love. But after looking at it, I realized that the stamps are really similar to this set that I already own (and bought used!) from Concord and 9th. Sadly, C and 9th does not have a die set to match these stamps, but with a little fussy cutting, that is not a problem. I notice that Betsy does a lot of die-cutting with white card stock, and she uses a lot of Distress Oxides to color in the images. I decided to do the same for this card. I made the "coffee coaster mat" by first stamping card stock with Concord and 9th's Gingham background stamps. Then, I cut it out using a cross-stitched square frame die from My Favorite Things. The background is Lawn Fawn Quilted Backdrop die, and the sentiment is from PTI Beautiful Blessings. I simply curved it onto an acrylic block before stamping it onto the coaster image. {Today's Brew: Let's Chat stamp set (Concord and 9th), Gingham Background stamps (Concord and 9th), Lawn Fawn Quilted Backdrop die, MFT cross stitched square die, Beautiful Blessings sentiment (PTI), Distress Oxides, Gelly Roll white gel pen} Shopping my stash sometimes takes a little more effort...a stamp from here, a die from here, a little digging into my collection to find what I need. But in the end, I think I did pretty well! The good news? Santa did give me a gift certificate to The Greetery for Christmas! woo hoo! It will take some time to narrow down my wish list. Too many good things to choose from! Did you get any crafty presents this year? Blessings, cafe friends!
