Happy Thursday! Today I am sharing birthday card #2 for the week. This one was for my middle son's birthday this past Sunday. He had a Minecraft birthday and loved this card! I used green, white, black and gray Recollections cardstock on this card. Yes, it totally felt odd using only solid colors for both this card and the Patriots card I shared earlier this week! The white layer is embossed with a brick embossing folder. It is really hard to see in these pictures, but it looks awesome in person. The creeper and wall were files that I created in SCAL4. The layers were adhered with ATG. I cut the 8 two times at 1.5" tall using Continuum Bold font and layered the cuts on top of each other. with Scotch Tacky glue. The stamp is from Whimsy Stamps' Boy Talk set and it matched perfectly! I stamped it with VersaFine Onyx Black and embossed with clear powder. The only embellishments were sequins in lime, black, and silver. I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Hello everyone! I am back today with a big group of cards that I created to participate in Kendra's Card Challenge. In short, it is to make 16 cards out of 6 sheets of 6x6" paper. In my true fashion, I added extra patterned paper in places and ended up making a few extra cards for a total of 20 cards using 12 sheets of single sided paper from The Paper Studio's Treat Your Self paper pad. The image above is all of the card sketches that Kendra shared in her challenge. I will share closer up images below. I used stamps from several companies, dies from Cottage Cutz and Gina Marie Designs, enamel dots and Trendy Twine. Here is a look at the 4 extra cards I created with leftover scraps from the 12 sheets of 6x6 paper. I had to include a close up of this card. I really love how it turned out with the stacked Happy die cuts! If you have any questions on specific products used on these cards, just leave them in the comments below and I will answer them. I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

I am taking a break from holiday postings to just share some fun projects I recently created with SVG Attic's files. As a boy mom, I LOVE the fact that SVG Attic has several boy themed sets to create with. This time I went with a dinosaur theme. For this dig zone hat, I used a file from the JGW Dino Dig set. I tried to make it look like a paleontologist hat, so I stayed true to those colors. Here is a look at the side of the hat. It was big enough that it fit my 3.5 year old with room to spare! Next, I made some dino face cards from files in the JGW Dino Party Kit. I think these are so much FUN! The mouths open to reveal a message inside. The T-rex... Triceratops... And the Pteranodon. I used DCWV's double sided cardstock for all of these projects and for the cards, I embellished them with some homemade enamel dots. Other than that, I kept things pretty simple! I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
