Almost everyone loves a party, and adding a specific theme can make the event even more fun. Cruises are fun and festive, so a cruise theme can make a natural party theme. You can welcome your guests on board a cruise ship and take them to a vacation destination without ever leaving dry land.

Hello stampers, I'm back with week 8 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. This week our projects highlight Bermuda Bay which is a beautiful blue/green colour that belongs to our Brights Colour Family. The first card I have to show you uses the A Fish & A Wish bundle. This bundle includes a punch with two different sized fish and a coordinating stamp set. I have stamped three fish in Stazon Jet Black ink on Silver Foil card stock so that my fish have a realistic shimmer to them. The background of the card is Coastal Cabana and has been embossed with the Seashells 3D embossing folder. I cut three squares from Bermuda Bay card stock and attached them to the background on the diagonal. Numerous leaf sprigs were cut using the Natural Prints Dies and Parakeet Party card stock. These sprigs were tucked around the Bermuda Bay squares as seaweed. The fish were added and the final touch was a few Opal Rounds that I thought looked like bubbles under the water. The second card I made was cased from a card I saw on Pinterest by LA Stamper. I love this card as it was the perfect way to use up all of the half flowers around the edge of the DSP sheet. I used a scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours Dies as the base for the flowers. I stamped the greeting from the Happiness Abounds stamp set and then arranged the flowers around it. A few teeny tiny Brushed Brass Butterflies were the final touch. I can't wait to see what the other clever ladies in the team have to share with you. The next hop on our blog hop is my lovely friend Christine Blain. Click either on her name or on the graphic below to see here amazing project. If you encounter any issues with the links in our Blog Hop please head to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the host of the blog hop and has a complete list of tonight's participants. I am so excited to share these cards with you today! They were so much fun to make! I knew I was going to want to make more than one card, so first I stamped 6 mermaids on white card stock using Basic Grey ink. This gives a softer look than the black ink. The mermaids were coloured using pens from Many Marvellous Markers. If you don't already own this set, seriously consider buying it. You can do so much with it, including inking up stamps by colouring on them. I use mine every time I sit down to create. When the Mermaids were done, I worked on the backgrounds. Every stamp you need to make them is included in the Magical Mermaid stamp set. For the seashells and sand at the bottom of the "ocean", I cut a strip of paper in Very Vanilla and stamped multiple times down it. Then I roughly tore strips to use on each card. I love the look of the raw edge. Even the bubbles are part of the stamp set. Once I was done stamping on the piece of Pool Party card stock, I ran it through my Big Shot using the Seaside Textured Embossing Folder to add even more to the "ocean" feel. The Enamel Glitter Dots finish the card up. Here is a second card I made so you could see how easy it is to change it up once you have your card designed. All of the supplies you need to make the card the same as mine are listed below. One click on any product will take you directly to my online store to shop! Thanks for looking. Shocking Facts About the Bermuda Triangle, Bermuda Triangle is the greatest unsolved mystery of the modern age. It is a triangular shaped area.
Welcome Stampers! It is the middle of July, and for us in the northern hemisphere, it is the middle of the summer. That means lots of beach time for us! Those in the southern hemisphere may have to settle for dreaming of beach time. And what better way then to stamp some ocean themed projects?! We are featuring Seaside Shore this time. For those who are new to the Stamp Review Crew, here is a little background. We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together on the first and third Mondays of every month to do a blog hop. Each hop features a single stamp set to give you loads of inspiration for that set! The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog, and you will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want! And you can click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also. If you are hopping along in order, I am the first stop on the hop! If you started somewhere in the middle, then you just arrived from Adriana Benitez's blog. Welcome back Adriana! We are excited to see you hopping with us again :) Pool Party Pumpkin Pie Emerald Envy Berry Burst Dapper Denim Now this is a very colorful card! I was playing with this idea to create all sorts of colorful fish without having to carefully color all of them. I decided to take some watercolor paper and lay down a wash of Pool Party and dry it. Then add splotched of roughly fish sized and shaped color with an Aqua-painter. Dried that with the heat tool too. Then stamped with Marbled background stamp with Pool Party ink. And finally, stamped the fish in Archival Black. I have also discovered that the Fine-Tip Glue Pen does a mighty fine job of attaching vellum to cardstock. 😁 I added some colorful fish to the inside also. Whisper White Sahara Sand Crumb Cake Silver Foil Next I wanted to use the anchor stamp with the Cable Knit embossing folder and Wood Textures DSP. I think they make a lovely masculine card! Bermuda Bay Pool Party Soft Sky Since I have been thoroughly enjoying the ghosting technique, I gave it a go here with a similar layout to the first card. The sentiment is from Just Add Text. I threw in some bubbles on the inside of this one! OK, that's it for me! It is time to go check out what Juana Ambida has created! I am humbled by her talent every single time!
