Sorry I didn't get a card posted for yesterday. Since we were under a winter storm watch for today, I ran some errands for my mother and myself yesterday. Then I started working on some pieces for Valentine cards and then went to the Iowa Caucus for our precinct last night. I have only gone to one other Caucus back in 2008. It's very interesting to participate in one. This morning I realized I had forgotten to squeeze in a post for my blog. Our grandson, Tucker, is going to turn 10 this coming Sunday. We won't be seeing him so I had to get his card ready early and give it to his mother who was here last Friday. Making cards for kids can be a lot of fun but since I was hurried, I once again turned to Pinterest. I saw this card made in different colors and an additional layer. Since my mother sends cards to her great grandchildren for their birthdays, I think I'll probably be making more like this for them. Weather predictions for us were off unless there is more to come later. We got less than 2 inches but then it started raining. It's above freezing so I think we're going to be fine. It is pretty windy though. Thank you for stopping by today! UPDATE: Someone asked about where I got the birds. I'm sorry the message went to my SPAM folder. I don't have a way of contacting you directly so hope you see this. The birds are circle from dies or a punch and the wings for 2 of the birds are from a Stampin' Up! punch. Everything else was just cut from scraps.
I’ve been browsing around Pinterest and the internet looking for some cute ideas for my boys’ Valentine cards. My oldest, Jonathan, is in middle school, so I won’t be making Valentine cards for him this year. (sad face) But I can still have fun with Luke, Adam, and Eli! So here are...

One of the many things I love about Really Reasonable Ribbon is the vast variety of products they carry. Not only will you always find everything spooled - from ribbons, twines, and binding to adhesives, flowers and hair bow accessories - they really have it ALL. I truly enjoy the depth, dimension, textures and color that ribbons and trims add to my cards. The darling sentiment I used is from Bonnie Garby Designs and it's from her Birthday Greetings 4 Digital Stamp Set which is filled with the most darling Birthday sentiments. I love using the digital sentiment stamps from Bonnie Garby Designs because they make quick, easy and affordable to add the perfect sentiment. I used the Frosted Frame Dies from The Greetery and Zesty Lemon Dies from Lawn Fawn. The trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon that I used include Bay Leaf Seam Binding, Baker's Twine, Yellow Gingham Ribbon and some pretty White Crochet Lace. The other products from RRR include Sweetheart Blossoms, Mulberry Leaves and Scor-Tape Adhesive. There are so many great products to enhance your cards and projects. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. It's always a treat to have you visit and leave me some love. Be sure to stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon in just TWO DAYS from now for their monthly Blog Hop where you can WIN prizes from Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie Garby Designs. Happy crafting, everyone. Blessings, Karen

12 Legs is a cuff down sock pattern that has both regular cables and twisted stitches. The stitch pattern is charted and comes in three sizes of 64, 72, and 80 total stitches. Because of the large cables in the center of the sock, it’s recommended to use a needle 1 or 2 sizes larger for the leg portion. Techniques: stretchy cast-on, twisted stitches, cabling without a cable needle, decreases, and picking up stitches.
