"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" table runner for your family's holiday celebrations! Boy, did I have fun making this great table runner. I have always been a big fan of the classic cartoon, could not wait until it came on TV every year (before videos, DVD's, etc!) When I saw this fabric at my local store, I bought it as quick as possible. I carefully cut out the fabric to highlight the best parts: the Grinch stealing gifts, the people of Whoville singing, the Grinch stealing dinner and holding presents. We also see comments the Grinch might use: "This is me being good", "I ate the cookies", "Misunderstood" are just a few! I offset the Grinch fabric with solid blocks of red to add interest. I'm kind of in love with this fabric line! I used a red, green and white diagonal stripe for the backside and the double fold binding. It is lightly quilted, sturdy. Sure to make you smile every year! This measures 27 by 16 inches. All fabrics were washed, dried and ironed prior to use. Made in a pet free, smoke free home. Free shipping on this item, it will arrive in a padded envelope via U.S. postal service, shipping and tracking will be provided. I am able to ship in the continental U.S. only, I ship on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Please ask any questions prior to ordering as all sales are final, no exchanges or refunds. This is a Vintage 1950s Glass Pitcher decorated with images of Red Tulips and Blue Irises. The flower design is called transferware which was a very popular style back then in the 1950s. People used them to serve orange juice, lemonade, Kool-Aid and other popular drinks of this era. In the 1950 mothers did not put store containers on their kitchen or dining tables, they always presented their beverages in glass pitchers. Dining was a bit more formal at that time, and children were required to eat at the table. No TV etc. It was a time that families gathered and sat and ate together! These vintage pieces have become very popular for a whole new generation. It reminds me of my childhood. This pitcher is in great vintage condition with very little wear. Must have been sitting unused in some grandma's kitchen cabinet for many decades! Size-8 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" in diameter x 5 1/2" wide including handle and spout

Sweet little chicks, just waiting to hop onto your needles. All of my signature stitch markers are created from my hand drawings, doodles, and sometimes silly imagination. I'm often inspired by something going on in my life, an event or memory. In case you're wondering why chickens, basically they remind me of my dad. He's been gone over 30 years, and I'm feeling a bit sentimental. He worked in the poultry division of a big pharmaceutical company, and when he and my mom were a young married couple, they bought a chicken farm. We never lived there, but spent a lot of time there - and ate loads of chicken. That's me and my big brother in the fourth picture- see those big chickens in the background? little did they know... These stitch markers are very lightweight and slip easily from needle to needle, up to US 8/ 5.0 mm. The set includes 1 each of the markers as shown, though yours may actually be from another set. The markers will arrive safely mounted on a card. I've put them on a bulb safety pin so they don't get separated in your knitting bag. You can pin them right onto your project, use the pin as a removable stitch marker, etc. These are water resistant, not waterproof, so please refrain from using these while knitting in the rain, pool, or bubble bath : ) I offer a little gift bag and card option for my stitch markers. Choose your bag, and I'll select a coordinating tag for you. If you'd like me to write a short note for you, just leave me a note at checkout. If you're not interested in the gift bag, simply select the "stitch markers only" option. Want to see some more of my whimsical stitch markers, check out the stitch marker section of my shop here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/needleclicksEtc?section_id=7811039&ref=shopsection_leftnav_6

Dirt from the banks of the Vltava river in Prague. You will receive a 1/2oz bag While in Prague I made a special trip to collect this riverbank dirt. This is where the legendary Rabbi & kabbalist, Rabbi Lowe is said to have collected dirt & mud to create the Golem, the protector of the Jewish people of Prague. All photos were taken by me while collecting. Rabbi Loew is credited with creating a creature to guard & protect the jewish people of Prague. The Golem. He created this creature by collecting clay & mud from the Vltava river closeby & forming it into a hulking mass & then giving it artificial life thru kabbalistic means. Here is an excerpt on how such a thing was done. "The Talmud relates a tale of rabbis who grew hungry while on a journey–so they created a calf out of earth and ate it for dinner. The kabbalists (Jewish mystics) determined that the rabbis did this magical act by means of permuting language, primarily utilizing the formulas set forth in the Book of Creation. Just as God speaks and creates, in the Genesis story, so too can the mystic. (The word Abracadabra, incidentally, derives from avra k' davra, Aramaic for “I create as I speak.”) Thus, under the rarest of circumstances, a human being may imbue lifeless matter with that intangible, but essential spark of life: the soul." They saw the creation of such a creature as an alchemical task. Being able to accomplish such a thing was proof of their spiritual skill. Although sauerkraut (German for sour cabbage) is thought of as a German invention, chinese laborers building the Great Wall of China over 2,000 years ago ate it as standard fare. Most likely it was brought to Europe 1000 years later by Gengis Kahn after plundering China. Although in Germany instead of using the wine they dry cured it by sprinkling salt on the shredded cabbage. The water is then drawn out of the cabbage to make the juice that you see that accompanies the kraut. The Dutch , who were great sea-fareing traders used sauerkraut on their ships as it did not need refrigeration and helped prevent scurvy. This very large, very cool, very unusual kitchen tool (I have never seen another one like it) makes a great kitchen primitive tool display. Good preowned condition with patina and character. Used and vintage, but this is a piece that will only improve with age like all these items do. Thank you for choosing My Objects of Intrigue. I appreciate your business. My items are unique vintage or antiques that have had normal use and been lovingly preserved. I will do my best to accurately describe the item and the condition; to note obvious damage or evidence of repair and provide as much information as I can. Vintage items are not new and therefore might have minor imperfections that are perfectly acceptable to me but not to you. Straw marks, tiny white/black spots, flea bites, which can happen in the manufacturing process, and very small scratches, paint losses, etc are not always noted. Vintage items minor imperfections only add character.... At the end of the day, the descriptions are really opinions. “Pictures are worth a thousand words - they form a very large part of the description and play a vital role in describing items -- they cannot misidentify, they don’t embellish, and they have no sentimental, emotional ties or love for an item. Please look carefully at all the pictures and ask questions if need be. BUT - unless I have grossly misrepresented the item, I cannot accept returns - please be sure before you buy. If you have an issue with an order, you must contact me within five days of delivery.
