"Bee Mine" - black ink on natural Lokta paper. One of my best sellers, it's the perfect gift idea for your loved one at Valentines Day, Anniversaries or just to let someone know you love them. Also perfect treat for yourself! Designed, carved and printed by myself. Highly pigmented oil based black ink on beautifully textured, sustainably handmade 30gsm Nepalese Lokta paper. Each print is roughly 5x5 inches and will fit into a standard frame of that size. Each print will be signed and dated; this colour way is part of an open edition print. Due to the nature of handmade paper and printing, each print is uniquely different and may have slight imperfections which I believe adds to their beauty. The paper has deckled hand torn edges, which can be beautifully displayed in a floating frame. I send all my prints in the UK Royal Mail 2nd class and international orders with International Standard. Hello stampers, It's a new year & along with that our Stamp Review Crew is back with more blog hops! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who share different ideas made with the featured stamp set. This week that stamp set is Bee My Valentine. For my cards today, I decided to use the Stack, Cut & Shuffle technique which allowed me to make 4 really quick cards. I cut 4 pieces of Bee Mine DSP into 3 3/4 x 5 sections then cut them into 4 squares/rectangles, shuffled them so each piece only appeared on each card once. I attached them to a layer of Basic White Cardstock then to a Sweet Sorbet Cardstock base. I used the Deckled Circle Dies to die-cut a circle then added a sentiment & hearts using Sweet Sorbet Ink with the Bee My Valentine Stamp Set. For the bee, I used Memento Black, Daffodil Delight & Petal Pink Inks then used the Bee Builder Punch to punch out all the pieces & attached them together using Multipurpose Glue. On 2 cards I popped up the circle & the other 2 I popped up the bee using Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish the card, I used a few Hearts & Flowers. Friends, I wanted to repost our bee directed drawing art project for you! We've shared it a number of times over the years and have some drawing and writing prompts waiting for you FREE over in our TpT store. You can also just follow the steps here in this post! After drawing we used the following materials to turn it into an art project! watercolors oil pastel black marker How to draw a Valentine's Day 'Bee Mine' cutie Start with a nice big piece of paper. Draw a heart. Draw a circle or oval around the heart for the bee's body. Draw heart shaped wings. Eyes on top - and eyeballs! Add a smile, antennae and a stinger. Add some stripes to the bee's body and extra hearts within the wings. More hearts - or your own pattern for the background! And voila, a cute bee for Valentine's Day. Now you can paint, crayon or color and finish off by retracing in black marker. We added oil pastel after the paint dried for extra pop! Sam and I made this bee project this morning over breakfast. True story! We almost cleaned the brush in my coffee a few times instead of the water cup. I drew, he did most of the painting. Kindergarten has got him all creative, which is lovely to see. This weekend, it has been ALL about painting. You can make this 'Bee Mine' drawing (or painting) with your sweeties too.
