Layers, layers, layers......I love 'em. I've had this design in my mind for a couple of days; so glad I got a chance to sit down and work it out. The frame treatment is much like a design I did back in February that you can see here. There are already so many…

I love this little stamp!! I'm sure you will see this quite often. At any rate, I wanted to do a smaller size card, which is a rare event for me; this one is 4" x 4" . It isn't so much that I love green as these supplies were handy on my table when I was trying…
Today I'm sharing a card made with Spellbinders Contemporary Hearts Pendant. I wanted to change it up a little bit so I decided to offset two of the same shapes with cut out centers. It leaves a great area in the center that I can place a center, flower or even a sentiment. …

It has been a glorious weekend with weather that is starting to give me a full blown case of spring fever. I was inside for a bit to play with toys and I pulled out a set of stamp pads that have graced my shelf, unopened, for more than two years. I had fallen in love with {the…

We are counting down the days to Creativation 2017 (Craft & Hobby Assoc. Trade Show) here in Phoenix, Arizona! Not everyone can make the event so why not bring some of it to you. This week, we are featuring Designer Days to introduce our licensed designers for 2017 – some whom you know and some who are new, so stay tuned! Today is the last day of our Designer Days feature and we are thrilled to continue our relationship into 2017 with licensed designer, Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace! Describe {Becca Feeken} in three words. Passionate, Romantic, Gifter What were some influences that helped shape the collection? Graceful Borders and Graceful Frame Maker were influenced by the polish and professionalism of a hung frames and prints and the glamour of ornate decorative edgings that surround them. From the wall to the page, I thought cards would be the perfect canvas for borders fashioned into frames – it’s the perfect way to highlight a sentiment or special memory. I start so many of my cards with a border, so mixing and matching and having a spread of options from simple to complex was my starting place! Vintage Elegance Love is in the details. Vintage Elegance is made of the tiny to the larger pieces that put a special touch on cards, gifts and ensembles. Ornate in design, Vintage Elegance lets you layer on love from the basic card to the addition of tags and pockets – it’s just the extras special little details that make handmade so heart-made. Where is your favorite place to create or get inspired? My favorite place to create and get inspired is right in my studio. It’s a living bulletin board where I pin whatever my latest fancy might be. I surround myself with the things I love and relish looking at them when I day dream. I am a collector of things – boxes, fabric, lace, fiber, vintage, angels, hands, tapes, buttons, clips, ephemera . . . anything romantic, and most definitely anything that evokes a warm smile. Just having these things to look at are an every day delight and inspiration. What are your favorite, “must have” pieces in your upcoming collection? Favorite piece from Graceful Borders and Graceful Framemaker is the frame maker die. With that one die, I feel like I can conquer the world~ Favorite piece from Vintage Elegance is the Mini Booklet Die – I’ve dreamed of this one for a long time and haven’t run out of ideas on the next booklet to make, yet. Welcome back friends! Today I’m excited to share the new Home Sweet Quilt Collection by Becca Feeken. The cozy quilt designs in this collection are perfect for sending warm hugs at any time of year! I used the new Layered Windmill Die Set to create this pretty winter card, but be sure to check out the additional springtime samples below. I started by cutting Indigo Cardstock using the outline, insert, and small flourished triangle dies from the Layered Windmill Die Set and white cardstock using only the outline die. Then I chose several patterned papers from the Snowed In 6x6 Paper Pad and cut them using the insert die from the set. Once I had adhered the Indigo outline to the white solid backer die-cut with liquid glue, I could just piece the patterned paper or solid cardstock pieces back in with more liquid glue. I embossed a piece of Raindrop Cardstock with the Orange Peel Quilt 3D Embossing Folder before adhering it to a top-folding 5.5-square white card base with tape runner. After adding the quilt piece on top with foam adhesive, I stamped a greeting from the Quilty Hugs Sentiment Stamp Set in blue ink and popped it up on top of the card along with a pretty flower cut with the Be Bold Blooms Die Set. And here are three more projects I made using some of the other quilt designs in the collection. For the first, I ink blended a panel before cutting it with the French Braid Panel Die Set and adding flowers cut with the Be Bold Blooms Die Set and a sentiment foiled with the Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments Plate Set. Next, I cut several different green and blue cardstocks using the Flower Mini Quilts Die Set and added it to a background embossed with the Orange Peel Quilt 3D Embossing Folder for a simple, more masculine friendship card. Lastly, I cut pretty patterned paper with the Patchwork Petals Die Set and added an embossed background (Loops Embossing Folder) and sweet sentiment from the Quilty Hugs Sentiments Stamp Set. You can find all of the details on these projects over on the Spellbinders Blog by clicking here! I hope you enjoyed these fun cards and thanks so much for stopping by today. You can shop the Home Sweet Quilt Collection now and warm up someone's day with a pretty quilt card of your own! I am here with my second Amazing Paper Grace Guest DT project! You will be shocked to notice that my card is a STANDARD A2 size (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") and fits into a regular notecard envelope! Will wonders never cease?!? I am in love with BLUE just now, which is awesome because the Pantone Color Institute has announced that its 2020 Color of the Year is PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue, a deep blue shade that's at once "comforting and relatable." I created a card base from Flag Blue cardstock, then added a panel of blue and cream printed paper from the Graphic 45 Dreamland Collection. I added some silver Wink of Stella glitter pen around the edge of the paper. So sparkly! I used the Shapeabilities Double Halo Oval Dies (3D Mini Album Collection by Becca Feeken) for this card project. The set comes with four dies, a large decorative oval, a medium oval, a small decorative oval, and an accent piece. I cut the large decorative oval from Flag Blue cardstock. I then used the medium oval to cut out an image from the Dreamland paper. I added the large oval to the card with foam tape. I also added the image to the center of the decorative oval with foam tape. I love the dimension. I cut the decorative accent out of silver glitter paper and added one accent to the top of the large oval and one to the bottom. I added a lovely, blue bow made from metallic edge satin. The chipboard sentiment and the sliver pearls finish off the card. I hope you enjoyed my project! I will be back next week with another Amazing Paper Grace project! Dies: Amazing Paper Grace/Spellbinders Shapeabilities Double Halo Oval Dies Printed paper/chipboard: Graphic 45 Dreamland Cardstock: WorldWin Flag Blue, Natural; CutCardStock Sliver Glitter Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon Royal Blue Satin with Silver Metallic Edge Pearls: Graphic 45 Matte Pearl Gems Glitter pen: Zig Wink of Stella Silver Adhesive: ATG tape, foam tape, hot glue, white glue

Do you know what it takes to be a total girl? Well, somewhere in the unwritten rules, there must be a love for.....handbags and shoes!! Ummm, I've got that covered. This was such a fun card to make and it was practically fool proof. Did you notice that the…
I'm so blessed to be a Die Designer and as I design I try to build a lot of value into what I've designed. If you haven't noticed, I love talking about this stuff too! This collection is dual purposed or what I call "convertible". The dies readily flip back and forth from intricate to clean…
Well this is how it works. I had another card almost done until I ran into the CPS Sketch (#173) design for the week and I absolutely love it!! So I trashed what I was working on and hopped on board this train!! Gracious!! I haven't done a sketch challenge in quite a…
Ah yes, a much calmer evening. I stole away to my studio after an early dinner and tinkered around with a couple of new things that I have laying out for inspiration. The first thing I pulled out for this card was the cardstock and the rest of the elements fell into place. …
Hi there blog friends, I'm back with a card today. The occasion is one I don't want to trumpet but this the very reason we make cards, right? While I was away I learned of a death in the family of an acquaintance, so I took some time out to pay respects. At first I thought it might be crass to…
Okay, I have to warn you in advance that I had a chance to sit down and play with something lovely that absolutely made my day. It may seem like a little thing to you, but it's something I wanted for a long time. I won't deny it, I'm going to gush . . unabashedly . . . and…

I love the vintage look, I have a ways to go, but it's fun trying. For this card, I took my design paper and punched the bottom with a Martha Stewart ribbon punch. I threaded the panel with narrow ribbon distressed with Old Paper Distress Ink then wrapped a 2" strip of green…

This has been languishing on my desk for over a year. My hope was to make a card for one of my stamping addicted friends like me. You have to read the whole sentiment to get it. Then to make it funny ha-ha, the folder opens up to reveal a gift card so that she can go buy…
Hello sweet friends!! Lol, I guess it would be ever so much an understatement that I've been slightly preoccupied. The days are rushing by and it seems like we 'just' turned the corner into the new year. As I was sitting at the craft table this evening I kept thinking there was something kind…
Good afternoon!! Hope you really are doing fine on this glorious day. I have a quick card to share and am working on some other things so I'm afraid this will be a short blurb. It is a simple card and the more I look at the more it looks like a variation of yesterday. Oh well, I think when I…
