I have suggested several books for your studies and there are many more resources out on the internet. You can also find many educational videos and resources out there for free. Along with the worksheets provided, I've suggested a few activities, such as the night nature walk, an echolocation game, a bat mobile and some vocabulary words. I've also provided some copy work and a letter B page depending on the needs of your learner. If you use this unit and enjoy it, please come back and review it or check out some of the other Animal Spotlight units available. It will take about a week to complete this unit – but it can easily be stretched into 2 or 3 weeks of you would like to keep your learning going or you could condense this down into fewer days. There is a lot to cover about bats and this just scratches the surface. You could go down so many rabbit trails on this learning journey, but hopefully this will be an enjoyable start. When your child completes the unit their is a "bat badge" in the back of the book. You can print it and use it in their journal or make it into a necklace for them. Each animal spotlight comes with a badge for them to collect once they finish learning about the animal.
