Thanks to a collaboration agreement between Lladró and Warner Bros-Discovery Global Consumer Products, Gotham City’s mythical caped crusader, who made his debut in Detective Comics in 1939, is now available in the market in a limited edition of 500 units. The Dark Knight, the alter ego of the multimillionaire Bruce Wayne, who turns into the protector of Gotham City at night, is the focus of this new Lladró creation. This version of Batman handcrafted at the Lladró workshops in Valencia, recreates in minute detail the iconic superhero who trusts in his superior intellect and in technology to fight crime. Inspired by bats to create his famous costume, Batman wears a cape imitating bat wings, a mask that covers most of his face and the bat symbol on his chest, and sophisticated gadgets, like his famous utility belt. Batman in black matte porcelain stands out for the precision of the sculptural work and the decoration, combining glazed and matte black finishes with touches of golden lustre. Batman captures the character's dynamism, with his cape blowing in the wind as he perches on one of the iconic gargoyles of the roofs of Gotham City, about to jump into action in defence of justice.
