With the right stretches, care, and strengthening exercises, your neck, shoulders, and upper back pain will eventually subside.

The Francesca sweater is worked top-down. First, the back is worked back and forth, shaping the shoulder slopes using increases. Then, stitches are picked up along the shoulder slopes to work the right and left fronts back and forth. After that, the fronts are joined to work the front back and forth, and stitches are cast on for the neck. Following this, the front and back are joined to work the body in the round. Next, stitches are picked up around the armholes to work the sleeves in the round. Short rows are used to ensure a good fit of the sleeves. The garment is finished with a 1x1 ribbed neckline worked in the round. Stitch holders (or waste yarn), tapestry needle. Gauge: After washing and blocking: 17 sts x 35 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 in in textured pattern on 4.5 mm US 7 needles.
