Aesthetic trends come and go — we've seen dark academia, coconut girl, old money, balletcore, and western gothic, just to name a few. But one trend that's been around for a while, and shows signs of serious staying power, is the bohemian or "boho" aesthetic — and it has carried over into boho names, too. Boho style encourages self-expression and embraces a relaxed, free-spirited approach to life. It's creative and artsy, nonconformist and nomadic; those who embrace the boho aesthetic appreciate travel, experiences, and individuality and consider themselves free-roaming citizens of the world. Inspired by nature's most calming aspects, the...
It's Baby Hazel time again. She became very famous baby by now and one of your favorite characters to play with. Of course she did, look how cute she is, who can possibly resist her charms. This time Hazel's hair grows too long and you have to take care of that. BabyHazelHairCare Doing a haircut is like going to a dentist so our Hazel is a bit nervous. You have to calm her down and keep her amused with the toys while you are cutting her golden hair. Do your wizardry with the scissors and make her look even cuter. After you finish with the haircut clean her face with the soft brush from little hairs left. She is happy now, see? Our baby has a little problem with the dandruff, so you have to take care of the dandruff too. Massage her scalp gently with baby oil and with a few strokes with comb you will remove all the dandruff that will stay on the towel around her neck. Don't forget to play with her all the way the cleaning process. Now it's time for a good baby bath. Fill the bath tub with water and don't forget to put Hazel in the tub. Of course a hair has to be washed after the haircut. Give Hazel a nice hair wash, careful not to make her cry because a little water or a shampoo might go in her eyes and that is rather unpleasant. Rinse the foam gently with the shower and as I said before fill her baby tub with lot of toys so she can play while you are doing your job. After the nice bath remove her in the next room dressed in her bathrobe and give her hair a final touch with the comb. Dress her in the clothes already prepared for her and tie her hair with those colorful hairclips. She looks great now, doesn't she? Furthermore she is very happy with her new looks and her new costume, ship-shaped from head to toe. My precious kids I really recommend for you to play all the games with baby Hazel because they are not just interesting and funny, also because you will learn a lot from her experiences .Enjoying and learning – the best way.

Sensory bags are so neat, and it seems like everybody's doing them these days, but in the kids activities world, when everyone is doing it, it's usually because it's super cool! I found this list of 40 Fun Sensory Bags from Mama OT and loved so many of the sensory bag ideas on there, as well as the site in general! I decided to try the baby oil sensory bag first. REALLY NEAT results! (please do also read the caution at the bottom of this post) The How To's Just take a ziplock bag and fill it with a bunch of baby oil. Then, add some drops of food coloring. Lastly, add a bit of water. If you want the "lava lamp" looking results like we got, don't put the water in first. Make sure you add the baby oil first, and that you don't add too much water. You can also add small objects as we did. I put a few floral glass gems and a bit of glitter as well. Then, get as much of the air out of the bag as you can and close it. This will help prevent it from popping and also makes it more fun to play with. Use duct tape on the "ziplock" to help prevent leaks. The baby oil bags are cool because the baby oil causes pools of color which can be "broken up" with touch, but will form together again when they pools touch. After a whole lot of shaking and exploring I had a few dollar store Valentine's Day trinkets so I threw those in another bag with some red food coloring added to the baby oil. Simple, cheap, and fun sensory play! Caution Although sealed, the bags can still leak or break! Baby oil (or any oil) can be harmful if ingested or aspirated. Always use proper vigilance and precaution when younger children are exploring with this sensory material, and use your parental discretion when deciding if this or any activity is right for your child based on their age and developmental abilites.
