This guy is my fave! This is perfect for a b-day party, or just as a "Me" present. This is an 8.5 in. x 11 in. digital print made from original Leroy's Place art. This image was originally hand drawn directly onto a vintage painting using pen and paint--Photoshop was NOT used to create or enhance this image. 1/4 in. white border around the edge of the print, and the title is printed in the margin. The paper size is standard, so you will have a lot of quick framing options! The print is not glued to the backing board, so you can easily take it out of the sleeve to frame. I know my father-in-law is not following my blog, so it's pretty safe to put his Father's Day card out here. He just retired a few months back (before the blog, so no retirement card to show), and he's got all kinds of fishing plans. I color blocked with card stock and some old patterned paper scraps I've had for about ten years. I had these left over embellishments from a scrapbook page I did several years ago. The vest is from Jolee's and the others are from Essentials. It felt good to use up some of my stash! Simple card, but quite effective. Good Sunday morning. This week the Papercraft Star blog had a dual challenge using a photo as inspiration to create a wedding or anniversary project an/or a masculine card. You could do one or both. I have decided to combine the challenges. For this card I took the inspiration of the photo's white on white look. Since my main color would be white I tried to use different textures to make my card look more interesting. I used a embossing Swiss dot folder from Sizzix along with some designer cardstock from Stampin Up. The sentiment is from Verve witch I used a Spellbinder ribbon tag die to stamp on. To make it look more masculine I adhered a striped black and silver printed paper down the center. This was a fun dual challenge and I'm looking forward to seeing other dual challenges witch will be happening the entire month of June.
