Perfect for Australia Day or any Geography/History unit. This resource is suitable for Prep to Year 3. Finally... an Australia Day resource for younger students!! In this zipped folder you will find: • ‘Let’s Celebrate Australia’ – a 30 page PDF to work through with the class (cannot be edited). This is a lesson that briefly talks about the history of Australia Day and presents photo stimuli as a talking point of things that are special to Australians. • Teacher resource file containing: photo cards to print and distribute during lesson (I colour print and laminate to re-use year after year!) • “What Australia Means to Me…” craftivity, including template and example. The craftivity is a cork hat where students write about what is special to them about Australia on each of the corks. These make an awesome display, hanging from overhead wires in the classroom!
