Masayasu Uchida nació en 1922 en la ciudad de Yokosuka, en la Prefectura de Kanagawa. Artista japonés, ilustrador y diseñador. Masashu Ushida trabaja en la técnica tradicional japonesa de aplicación, en la que los trozos de papel no se cortan, sino que se arrancan a mano. Al mismo tiempo, la estructura del papel de arroz permite lograr transiciones y texturas interesantes en los lugares de separación.
