• THIS PRINT: Diego Velazquez's classic painting The Maids of Honour / Las Meninas (1657). More prints by Diego Velazquez: https://etsy.me/2YFrvaH Or view our full range of iconic paintings here: https://etsy.me/2G7OK0A • PLEASE NOTE: All our prints come UNFRAMED and any frame in the images above is for display purposes only so you can get a feel for how it might look on your wall. • CUSTOM REQUESTS: We can often customise our designs. Contact us any time to discuss options. • PAPER: All our prints come on the highest quality art papers and are produced with a full range of 12 pigment inks so they will maintain their vibrant colours for decades to come. A quick explanation of our different paper stocks will follow: Glossy finishes are like what you would get with a photograph. Very reflective and very bright colours. Lustre is a beautiful finish which is somewhere between a Matte and a Gloss. If you're not sure what to choose then Lustre looks fantastic on al prints in our store. If you'd like your item printed onto a stiff watercolour-style paper which has a textured rougher surface then choose our "textured" option. Finally we have a 100% cotton paper which is extra sturdy, displays colours beautifully and is probably the best option if you want a classic Matte (non-reflective) finish. • SIZE: Our prints come in a variety of sizes so please check measurements and choose carefully from the drop down list above. If you need custom dimensions not listed please contact us as we may be able to do a custom size. • REFUNDS: All our prints are 100% guaranteed. If you're not thrilled with your print when it arrives just contact us and we'll accept the return up to a YEAR after purchase! Check through our feedback to see why nobody ever wants to return their prints! • DELIVERY TIMES: Please note we are based in the United Kingdom. If you are ordering from the USA then deliveries will usually arrive in 2 weeks or less but please be aware that this is NOT guaranteed and they can sometimes take up to 4 weeks to arrive due to the irregularities of international transit so before ordering please bare that in mind. If you're in Europe delivery usually takes 1-2 weeks but occasionally as long as 3 weeks. If you're based in the UK like us then typical delivery times are 2-3 days after ordering. • PACKAGING: Prints 12x8" inches and smaller will be packaged in flat, board-backed envelopes. Larger prints are delivered in strong cardboard tubes. If any item were to arrive damaged in anyway (very unlikely!) contact us immediately and we will send a replacement immediately. • OTHER QUESTIONS: Just contact us with the "Ask a question" button at the top of the listing. Feel free to ask about anything. We endeavour to reply as quickly as possible Monday through Friday. • OUR STORE: Please visit our store to see many more prints united under a common theme of exceptional quality! https://etsy.me/2JMU0HM We sell Art, Photos, Poster, Prints, Wall Art, Decor, Quotes, Motivation, Inspiration, Wisdom, Inspirational, Hope Posters, Maths, Economics, Philosophy, Sport, BJJ, MMA, Poems over Paintings, Maps, Streets, Artwork, Graphic Design and much much more. As the world commemorates the Liberation of Auschwitz after 75 years, strange things are happening. At Remember.org we focus on people's history, not the political games or storytelling surrounding the events at Auschwitz. On the 75th year since the Liberation of Auschwitz, we explore what it is to study the Holocaust, and learn instead of using it for political purposes.
Engage students by discussing positive characteristics in other people, have them think of people they view as super humans and may look up to for inspiration. Perfect for a writing assignment that engages students to think creatively and use their imaginations for their answers. Social-emotional learning is folded into this activity as students are asked to identify details from someone else's behavior and actions in real-life to emulate as a superhero. Designing and making a character will engage students creative problem solving as well as deepen their understanding of attractive personal, moral and behavioral characteristics they seek in others and may want to model themselves. Listing out positive personal and physical details is a mindful practice by showing gratitude and appreciation to a good thing (a person in this case), noticing it in detail using all the senses. Personal Recommendation: Use split paper pins or glue the arms and legs using the dots after cutting the designed and colored caped figure. After the students cut their superhero out, I like to paste them onto a bulletin board. In the past, I've used rectangles of different sizes and drawn on a few windows to make it look like the tops of a two-dimensional city since I am in a big city but the students may help with this as well in a homeroom- having them help is a great transition to the SEL topic of community and culture- reflecting on having a greater positive impact on our surroundings.
