This fun and informative, 8 page presentation was designed as a "lead in" to a Kandinksy inspired art project, In it, students receive a brief introduction to Wassily Kandinsky, his gift of "Synaesthesia Cognate", the ability to "see" music and "hear" colors. Directly following this presentation, the students produced their own version of Kandinsky's "Squares With Concentric Circles" painting utilizing Patti's (Deep Space Sparkle) lesson here: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Kandinsky-Circles-Art-Lesson-Video-1638774 The students were entranced by his gift, and fascinated to witness his work evolve from "real" to "unreal" in such a short period of time. Once the students were engaged in their art project, I then played "Kandinsky-ish" music for additional inspiration.
