Embark on a visually striking and thought-provoking journey that explores the integral role of humor in Dada and the influence of Nietzsche on the movement. This mixed media collage, created in the style of Hausmann's "The Art Critic," captures the essence of Dadaist wit and subversion. The composition incorporates a combination of found objects, photographs, text fragments, and bold graphic elements. In this image, the influence of Nietzsche's philosophy is symbolically represented through juxtaposed text excerpts and symbolic motifs that reflect his ideas of challenging societal norms and embracing individuality. Humor intertwines with the collage, manifesting through unexpected combinations, absurd juxtapositions, and witty visual puns. Elements of satire and irony, characteristic of Dada, permeate the artwork, creating layers of meaning and inviting viewers to question conventional artistic and societal values. Through the dynamic arrangement of fragmented elements, this collage evokes a sense of chaos and irreverence, echoing the spirit of Dadaism. It encourages viewers to engage with the artwork playfully, embracing the humor and intellectual depth that characterized the Dada movement. This image serves as a tribute to the legacy of Hausmann and his pioneering contributions to the avant-garde art of Dada. Hope Olson is a painter and mixed-media artist based in Holland, Michigan. Her art celebrates home, community, and slow, old-fashioned living. The compositions and colors of her abstracted still life and landscape paintings are inspired by her long-held affection for interior decorating, historic architecture, old country villages, and early 20th century art. Hope particularly borrows from the sensibilities of the Fauvist art movement, which emphasizes strong marks and colors that magnify mood and compel curiosity. She earned a B.S. in Interior Design from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, and also focused her college coursework in studio art and marketing.
The artist contrasts a mathematically plotted grid system with circular forms to create a mixed-media, geometric abstract artwork. About the artist Born in Germany and based in London, Sabrina Brouwers creates artworks inspired by Sol LeWitt, a pioneering figure in the Conceptual Art movement. She challenges manmade forms by combining grid-like forms with fluid, circular shapes.

Oh how I love these! First, this is the book I got when I was about 10. It has some good ideas for patterns. http://www.amazon.com/Rose-Windows-How-Make-Them/dp/0863151965/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1325880768&sr=1-2 Cut circle frames out of cardstock (I traced some plates and bowls) and tissue paper circles that are a similar size. Note- I used the garbage from the large frames to make smaller frames. Love my exacto. Fold the circles of paper. I myself like the look of stars folded into sixteenths. You may be an eighth or a twelfth (really? twelFth? how do you say that?) kind of person. The easiest star that Ada was able to do: Mark where the frame will sit on the tissue paper. Draw a curve across all four colors. Cut. Ada liked gluing the resulting stars on to paper. Open circles of tissue paper and glue to frame. If you want a flower- alternate the curves like on the pink flower (see last picture.) If you want a star- align the seams like this one. Glue the top frame. Trim the outside of the circle. Next, a star. Glorified snowflake cutting. Use very tiny scissors. Voila! I plan on making another gothic-window one soon. I will try to post the cutting pattern when I do that. Oh yeah, the top left one is just half circles of red, yellow and blue. Ada and I are doing some color theory this week. Let there be color!

About The Artwork Color gradients, at their core, offer a fluid and harmonious transition between hues, creating rich visual depth and a sense of dynamic movement in the work. When used intentionally, gradients reveal a color palette that goes beyond mere static representation, allowing a sensory exploration that captivates the viewer. Chromodynamics, on the other hand, refers to the interaction and mixing of colors. This term goes beyond simple color theory; It involves a deep understanding of how colors influence each other, how they change our visual perception, and how they can evoke emotions and sensations. The Uv printing technique allow me to create images that change depending on the angle from which they are viewed. It uses a special lenticular sheet that has small convex lenses on one side, these lenses act as a series of small lenses that magnify different parts of the underlying image when viewed from different angles. These resources become vehicles for visual storytelling, allowing the creation of this serie that evoque changing and evolving atmospheres that challenge the viewer's pre-established perceptions.
