Decía Cézanne: Todos los elementos de la naturaleza deben ser vistos como si se tratasen de cubos, esferas y cilindros. Es verdad esta afirmación de Cézanne. Si nos fijamos bien todo lo que nos rodea puede ser simplificado o metido dentro de una forma o cuerpo simple, podemos "encajarlo" para comenzar a dibujarlo sobre nuestro papel. Cuando nos enfrentamos a un dibujo comenzaremos siempre por dedicar todo el tiempo que sea preciso a estudiar las proporciones y medidas del modelo y a como las trasladaremos posteriormente al papel. También debemos estudiar en qué formas y cuerpos simples se pueden "encajar" los elementos a dibuja. En un principio nos fijamos sólo en las formas y volúmenes generales sin detenernos en detalles que ya tendremos tiempo de incluir en el dibujo. Nadie decora la casa antes de que terminen de construirla. Estos ejemplos ilustran bien esto que decimos y si los copiáis siguiendo sus pasos os servirán de mucha ayuda para aprender a encajar vuestros dibujos. Es lógico al principio ver con verdadero pánico la superficie blanca del papel donde debemos dibujar el modelo que nos hemos propuesto. Diremos que hay que "encajar" las formas y el modelo en el formato del papel, que debemos "encajar" cada objeto sinmplificándolo en formas geométricas. Pero nos preguntaremos: ¿Dónde, cómo y de qué tamaño dibujo cada una de esas formas geométricas? Hay que dejar claro que un dibujo no sale por una inspiración mágica sobre el papel, requiere un razonamiento y un estudio lógico por parte de nosotros. Lo primeo que debemos hacer es mirar y estudiar el modelo, sea lo que sea, una simple manzana, un paisaje o un desnudo. Miremos el modelo y estudiemos sus medidas y proporciones. Con el tiempo seremos capaces de hacer esta operación mentalmente pero al principio podemos ayudarnos del lápiz o e cualquier instrumento similar, como podemos ver en esta ilustración. Estas medidas estudiadas en el modelo las tendremos que trasladar a nuestro formato, siempre procurando que abarquen lo más posible la superficie del papel, a no ser que estemos haciendo una composición en la que se requiera dejar espacios en blanco. Saber mirar y estudiar un modelo, estudiar sus medidas y roporciones y saber trasladarlas correctamente al papel es fundamental a la hora de comensar cualquier dibujo.
Existen muchos tipos de sesgos inconscientes que se extienden a todo tipo de situaciones donde preconcebimos un pensamiento sólo por el género, raza, ideología, aspecto físico, entre miles de otros factores que percibe nuestro cerebro de una persona. ¡Solo depende de nosotros conocerlos y estar cada vez más conscientes de estos para no seguir repitiendo
