What is it about? Close to extinction, the Strigoi play their last card, invoking a blasphemous sacrificial rite that will lead to the rebirth of Deus Diabolus Tempter - the Cobra King! Can the Powerwolf prevent the rise of this lethal enemy? Resurrection adds a dynamic and fast-paced new gaming experience to Armata Strigoi that will keep you in suspense until the very end! Hu! Ha! How does it work? In addition to the rules of the base game, the Powerwolf heroes now have to stop the Strigoi from bringing the dreaded Cobra King and its Succubi into the world. The Powerwolf must defeat the Strigoi before the resurrection, otherwise their foes' vital energy will flow into the powerful Cobra King, who then unleashes his fury on the fortress. The heroes also have to save as many Maidens as possible and prevent their transformation into Succubi subservient to the Cobra King.

Der ewige Kampf zwischen Vampiren und Werwölfen geht zu Ende. Der letzte Vampirmeister und sein Lehrling, Strigoi aus der Wallachia, wohnen in der alten Festung von Tismana: einer Festung, die von bösen untoten Kreaturen heimgesucht wird. Trotzdem bereiten sich die Powerwolf-Söhne der Legenden der Nacht und die Armenia Savage Army, die Verteidiger der "Wahren Wahrheit", auf einen letzten verzweifelten Angriff vor, da sie wissen, dass es keine Alternativen zum Sieg gibt! Armata Strigoi ist ein Spiel, bei dem Powerwolf als Team gewinnt oder verliert, aber jeder Spieler seine eigenen Entscheidungen über seine Aktionen und Bewegungen trifft. Jeder Spieler repräsentiert einen der Powerwolf-Helden, die die Festung des Strigoi als einzelnes Rudel angreit. Um zu gewinnen, müssen sie beide Vampire besiegen. Die beiden Feinde sind jedoch anfangs unverwundbar und ihre Vitalität ist untrennbar mit ihrer Wohnfestung verbunden. Nach dem Niedergang des ersten Vampirs beginnt die gesamte Struktur zusammenzubrechen, wodurch der Sieg zu einem Wettlauf gegen die Zeit wird! Der Sieg wird erzielt, indem beide Strigoi besiegt werden. Um sie angreifbar zu machen, muss der Powerwolf zuerst Blutpunkte sammeln, indem er die Mitgeschöpfe der Nacht dezimiert, die die Festung heimsuchen. Während ihrer Suche können sie auch Waffen und magische Artefakte sammeln. Wenn ein Strigoi stirbt, verwandelt sich der andere sofort in einen Vampir der Höchsten Meisterin, was sie noch tödlicher macht. Gleichzeitig beginnt die Festung von Raum zu Raum zusammenzubrechen. Wenn beide Strigoi besiegt sind, gewinnt das Powerwolf-Team das Spiel. Es ist keine leichte Aufgabe, aber die Jagd kann beginnen! Achtung: Wegen verschluckbarer Kleinteile nicht für Kinder unter 3 Jahren geeignet.

After the last two posts you'd think we'd be moving on to another subject, but no, today the vampire theme switches from seductive to sinister and goes for the throat with the grand-daddy bloodsucker of them all-- Count Dracula! In 1974, Galahad Books published a terrific collection of suspenseful horror tales containing classics by the likes of Poe, Irving, Wilde, Dickens, Bangs, Middleton, Nesbit and Stoker... so great and suspenseful is this book in fact that they called it "Great Tales of Horror and Suspense." Perfect. Also perfect: the two artists they chose to illustrate this 260+ page treasury of terror! Some of you may already be familiar with Norman Nodel, (we'll look at some of his art closer to Halloween), but today's focus is on the art of Dracula by Harry Borgman. It's richly detailed, moody stuff, loaded with atmosphere, sometimes frightening, sometimes just simply gorgeous, and with superb touches of graphic design styled lay-outs that really bring the masterful inking to screaming bloody life!
