As we are (hopefully) approaching the end of the pandemic, spring is in full bloom and the mood is more optimistic. While my sourdough baking days are over, I am still "baking" a new drawing each day. Since the start of the pandemic, drawing has been a great way to deal with stress. As a silver lining, I've rediscovered drawing again. After a long day of endless zoom meetings, it's refreshing to work on a small creative project.

Our curator, Dr Ros Cleal, recently celebrated a remarkable 20 years at National Trust Avebury’s Alexander Keiller Museum – and we marked the occasion with this fantastic cake, created by our talented Curatorial Assistant Michele Drisse, with help from our volunteers. I liked the part in the lesson that talked about traditions. I am going to have the girls all share a family tradition, heirloom, or something about one of their ancestors. For a little treat I brought some brownies I made from one of my favorite recipes from my mom. A recipe that I will pass down to my own children(: I just printed the recipe on the cute little brown paper bags. I am going to print one of these handouts too. I just can't decide which one??
