As South Africans contend with the likelihood of advanced stages of loadshedding for the foreseeable future, more homeowners are looking at ways to mitigate the impact of prolonged power outages on their daily lives. In response, Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana informed citizens during his budget speech that they can receive up to R15 000 tax rebates for installation costs of rooftop solar panels starting from March 1st - leaving many considering sun-based energy sources as their pathway towards uninterrupted power supply.

Happy Friday! TGIF Challenges has a fune Summertime Blues Challenge this week! Because we all know that there "Aint No Cure" for them, but at least we made it through the week!!! Big plans for the weekend? We are going to the circus! I know this isn't a "blue" card! Summer time reminds me of backyard play days, running through sprinklers, spending all day in the barn with the horses and weddings. I was recently asked to make a few wedding cards. One of the requests was a Boho Chic style My card started with the Wood Textures DSP white wash sheet, The Swirly Scribble thinlit was cut 3 times using Kraft Paper then sponged with Soft Suede ink. I used the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle to create the Powder Pink, Calypso Coral and Soft Sky flowers with Pear Pizzazz greenery. The lovely sentiment is heat embossed with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder. A Linen Thread bow and a few Basic Pearls were just the right touch! Hope you have an amazing weekend! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Hi There! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and hopefully a long weekend like I had! I really needed the break! I had a great time seeing my granddaughters and grandsons at my daughter's home
TGIF!!! I am a bit late to the party... But Summer Break is kicking my rear! The kids and I FINALLY went to the pool on Thursday... It was refreshing, they really don't need me there but with everything with Josh, it is just better that I be there for now. This week with TGIF Challenges Mercedes has whipped up a really great sketch and we ALL know that a sketch is really left up to interpretation! I have inked up the "To A Wild Rose" stamp set on numerous occasions... But have yet to complete a card with it. I decided to flip the sketch and make a Landscape style card with it. Let me show you what I have made today! This shabby chic card started with the flower. I made this beautiful flower using two of the stamps from the To A Wild Rose stamp set. I first inked up the solid like image with Flirty Flamingo ink and stamped it off to get a lighter color. Next I used the stamp set with more texture, again I inked up with Flirty Flamingo but I did not stamp off this time. There is a stamp in the set that has the outline but I chose to not use it. I did stamp the center with Crumb Cake. I was so excited when this set had coordinating dies to die cut the flower! The leaves are also from this bundle. Again I decided to stamp off my Old Olive ink first then stamped the line type stamp at full strength. The die actually cuts the leaves as a cluster, I chose to fussy cut one off and use it in another spot. A nice wood banner from the Pressed Petals DSP was just the right touch over my Crumb Cake background from the Gallery Grunge stamp set. A touch of the Scallop Lace Trim and a Copper Heat Embossed sentiment was just the right touch! Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you create with this amazing sketch! Hello and happy Friday!!! Has this seemed like a long month to anyone else? Hopefully it's just me. I was really grateful for a lot of time in the stamp room this month, and I LOVE the challenge that
Welcome to the first Sunday of the month!! We have had a fabulous weekend! The weather has been amazing and we have done our first mowing of the year! Today marks the one year anniversary of the Tornado. We haven't had a single severe storm yet. I am sure you all are knocking on wood! This month with the Creation Station Design Team we are hopping with the theme "Urban Underground, Men Are Our Muse". I had the perfect samples from OnStage that I hadn't shared yet. Although the sets are not new in the upcoming catalog, I was able to use some new embellishments and paper! So both images were water colored with the Watercolor Pencils. The top card is a nice masculine color scheme of Crumb Cake, Night of Navy and Whisper White. The Hardwood is stamped at an angle. It was perfect for the Night Of Navy Gingham ribbon that will be available on June 1st. A few stars from the Urban Underground embellishments and a fun sentiment made with the Labeler set made this card ready for any rodeo including OnStage! This great card also Crumb Cake but this time we have Dapper Denim and Tranquil Tide. You may recognize this DSP. It is from the Eastern Palace DSP. This DSP is so versatile and can be carried away from its "Eastern Origins" depending on how you embellish it! I also colored this pick up with the Water Color Pencils. I actually used the Blender Pen for the grass so that I could use Tranquil Tide. The nice Crumb Cake ribbon will be available to you on June 1st. This was the perfect Father's Day card using the Thoughtful Banner set. Thank you so much for stopping by! I can't wait for you to see what Kim Van Diepen has cooked up for you. I ALWAYS love her work! You can get to her by clicking next below... Or if you would like to see the Sara Levin you can get to her by clicking "Back"! Sara Levin Kim Van Diepen
