The yoga ad caught my attention because of its creative way of advertising. They took a bendy straw and used that as a metaphor to illustrate the flexibility in yoga. The concept is clever and attracts people to stay fit. In Straubhaar's lecture he used showed us the characteristics of advertising, and in this ad we see ubiquity to catch the reader's attention, the girl bending on the straw gives the consumer a wow factor, which gives appeal to go do some yoga in order to be able to become as flexible and fit as the girl on the straw. It also uses imagining and construction in order to appeal to women because they are always worried about their figure, so the fact they have a girl on there is a phycological effect that advertisers use in order to attract more girls to do yoga in order to get as flexible and fit as that bendy straw. The ad I picked exemplifies that appeal because it uses imaging of the girl on the bendy straw to attract women, because they use woman's figure, which is something woman are constantly worried about, in order to have more people come work out at their yoga place.
