Roger Mayer is one of the most influential effects makers of all time. Responsible for many great players fuzz tones, he's probably most famous for tweaking (or just rebuilding) Jimi Hendrix's Fuzz Faces. He also has his own line of pedals and this is his take on the classic Octavia (octave up) effect. This one doesn't use a transformer like the Tycobrahe Octavia, so it's a little easier to build (at least you don't have to order a transformer...). Denn sie verfügt über ein eingebautes Messer hinter dem Nähfuß, das die Kette durchtrennt. Und das gleich auf drei Arten:  Per Taste: Vorne an der Overlock befindet sich eine Taste mit einem Scherensymbol. Einfach drücken und sie schneidet. Per Pedal: Die Juki MO-3500 hat ein Pedal, wie man es schon von den Nähmaschinen kennt, bestehend aus zwei Teilen. Das kleinere Pedal ist der Fadenschneider. Drücken, schneiden, fertig. Automatisch: Ein Sensor erkennt, wie weit der Stoff vom Nähfuß entfernt ist und schneidet je nach Einstellung nach einem bis zehn Zentimetern. Das Pedal macht den Unterschied Mit dem Pedal wird nicht nur der Faden geschnitten, damit kann auch die Stellung der Nadel geändert werden. Die Juki MO-3500 hält immer mit der Nadel in der höchsten Position an, was die Bedienung schon enorm erleichtert. Aber mit einem kurzen Tippen auf das Pedal senkt sie die Nadel ab. So hält sie den Stoff fest, perfekt für schwierige Stellen oder enge Kurven. Dann nur noch den Nähfuß mit dem Kniehebel anheben, schon hat man beide Hände frei zum Positionieren des Stoffes. Durch den kurzen Messerabstand und mit dem Kurvenfuß gelingen selbst die schwierigsten Rundungen problemlos. Overlock mit Display Alle wichtigen Informationen werden am Display dargestellt, nicht nur der Stich. Auch die weiteren Einstellungen wie Stichlänge, die benötigte Nadel oder die Stellung des Rollsaumhebels. Die Stiche werden am Wählrad ausgewählt und schon stellt sich die Overlock automatisch passend ein. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit kann auch über das Display in zehn Stufen reguliert werden und falls die Helligkeit oder Farbtemperatur der LED-Beleuchtung nicht so ganz den eigenen Wünschen entspricht, ist auch diese in verschiedenen Stufen veränderbar.  Die Mechanik gehört dazu Neben all den elektronischen Komfortfunktionen kommt es bei einer Overlock ja auch auf die Mechanik an. Die Juki MO-3500 näht schnell und mit einem angenehmen Nähgeräusch, das Messer ist verstellbar und abschaltbar und die Greiferfäden werden auf Knopfdruck bis an die Spitze durchgeblasen. Selbst die Nadelfäden sind kein Thema, hierfür verfügt die MO-3500 über einen integrierten Nadeleinfädler. Weiche oder rutschige Stoffe können mit Hilfe des Microlifters problemlos vernäht werden, dadurch hebt sich der Nähfuß an und schwebt über dem Stoff. Und über Nahtkreuzungen gleitet der Traktornähfuß wie von selbst!  Noch mehr tolle Funktionen der Juki MO-3500:  Magnethalter für die Nadeln Standardnähfuß mit Bandführung Feinjustierung für die Greiferfäden Integrierter Konverter (für 2-Fäden-Nähte)

Students will read, practice, and select their top positive self-talk statements from the list or create their own. They will write those positive statements in the flower craft. Students will then color and design their flower. Alternatively, students can use pre-made samples with positive self-talk already listed. Students will then cut out their flower craft and fold on the pedals. Let students practice their positive self-talk by opening up their flower craft. Partners and groups can spend time reading each others'. Encourage students to read each others’ positive affirmations. This can be a great activity in small groups to discuss strategies and identify how positive self-talk can help. You can also post these on a bulletin board, tape them on lockers, or post them on doors to fill the school with positive affirmations.
