The students are encouraged to read and become familiar with the features of narratives, recounts, procedures and information reports. All of the sample text types in this book are brilliantly illustrated and simply presented to motivate students to begin to plan, write and edit their own text types with enthusiasm and confidence. The activities in the book are outcome linked and some are created to help students revise the grammar and punctuation that they have learned in Easy Punctuation and Easy Grammar. Questioning is a frequently used method of teaching in classrooms. It is therefore very important that children understand questions and are able to respond appropriately. Many parents and teachers report that some students do not seem to understand certain questions and sometimes give unusual responses. This resource aims to develop children’s thinking and assist them in giving appropriate responses to the questions adults ask. This resource includes a free handout presenting questions from each of Blank's levels of questioning. Blank's Questions can be categorised into four levels of difficulty – level one questions are easiest and level four questions are the hardest.
