As the end of summer and the beginning of fall approaches, I am so excited! COOLER WEATHER! It makes me actually want to move around again. The coolness permeates the house through the open windows in the mornings. It is invigorating, and I think, 'What will I do today?' Now don't get me wrong. I'm not so full of spunk that I am going to clean all the rooms in the house today, or get that huge project finished, or anything funny as that. But I do see some progress in my work, which to me, is quite exciting! Sewing is one of my favorite pastimes. Collecting sewing notions is something that I just cannot stop doing! I decided to pull together some pretties and show them off this week. Below, packages of Silhouette trim were a recent find that are going in the 'keep' collection! I hope you are all having a lovely week! And that cool breezes and refreshing days are part of your future! Take care and thank you so much for visiting me! Blessings, Doni
"Digital presentation does not diminish the effectiveness of my works. They will simply be unique in a different way. The biggest challenge in this kind of design is to create a face."

The spicy warmth a clove gives to mulled wine is the warmth it has as a colour too. While still being a deep beige the earthy red oxide in the mix really wraps the colour round a space. I have seen it looking stunning on the walls of an elegant top lit staircase as well as on the joinery of a traditional kitchen. The perfect, new, warm neutral paint colour has become a go-to choice as we embrace more colour and nuance in our lives created by the depth of pigment we use in our natural paint. Clove is now available in three lighter shades, so 60%, 40% and 20% lighter shades.

Chicago-based artist Rosemary Holliday Hall envisions transformation through Encyclia Imagosis, a sculptural series that brings the physical processes of insect metamorphosis to a human scale. The four artworks consist of oxidized fabric stretched across metal structures, creating a translucent form that highlights the spacious shape of the wireframe. Similar to insect chrysalises, the meshy works serve as a symbolic site for change. “Encyclia Imagosis investigates various ways we make sense of the world and relate to ourselves and others through imagination, metaphor, and material,” the artist writes. Sunday night is a busy TV night at Chez Suzy. My boyfriend and I have at least four shows that we record (Shameless, Californication, Once Upon a Time and Downton Abbey) so it's telling that when it's time to hit play on the DVR his vote is always to watch Downton first. At first look, Downton--which airs its season two finale tonight—doesn't scream "guy show." There's a soapy quality to it (gossip! cheating! a secret wife!) and the fashion has its own supporting role, but it's high quality as far as storylines and talent with one Oscar winner on the cast (Dame Maggie Smith) and another on the way for season three (Shirley MacLaine).
Jacob Elordi is opening up about the infamous bathtub scene in Saltburn that has had a lot of people talking.

Words cannot express how much I love this brand! The first time I had heard about them was about 2years ago, I think. Most people will remember them from appearing on The Apprentice when they had the clothing boutique challenge. These girls were the inspiration for my own Maison de Moodie designs as the environment is something that I am highly concerned about they have found a way of creating clothing that is sustainable yet distinctive. they founded Junky Styling in 1997 as they wanted to look unique buy couldn't afford it as they were students so decided to create clothing. I completely believe with their ethos of the brand – Timeless, Deconstruct, Re-Cut. Whole DIY feeling to play with old clothing that you wouldn’t normally wear. Look at clothes from a different prospective. Everything is recycled creating innovated designs which are unique and wearable for a capsule wardrobe as the fabrics they use are mainly suited fabrics (men’s suit jackets for example) giving a fantastic finish to the final product both physical and aesthetic. I was completely star struck when waking into the East Wing of Somerset House to see the brand directly in front of me with the two owners - Annika Sanders and Kerry Seager. Luckily that day I was wearing my own trousers that I had made about a month before from old pinstripe work trouser and cheap primark jogging bottoms (blog post up soon). I went right up to the collection and was asked if I knew the brand I replied with “of course you were the people that inspired me to create my own clothing and you are one of my inspirations”. They were completely lovely we hit it off laughing and talking showing them my trousers which they loved. I got a peek at the latest menswear collection, which is being shown today Wednesday 22nd, that they invited me to. Sadly I had to come home for uni. However in September I WILL be there for the whole week. The main thing that I was drawn to was the tartan quilting that they are using as well its one of my favorite prints being Scottish. Their main inspiration this season was doing back to the paneling using different fabrics and combing them allowing for a quirky detailing of patterns and prints. One thing that I did ask them was how they come up with ideas when designing – “we don’t it is just what happens during the process” LOVE IT!
