STRUCTURE_LOOP_SWEATER is an oversize sweater with stripes of structured knitting on the body and sleeves. The shoulder features a rib stitch detail that continues along the armhole and forms a panel along the side of the body. The sweater is worked from the top down. Stitches are cast on for the back of the neck and then worked with rib stitch in both sides, and at the same time increases are worked to form the top part of the back panel. Then stitches are picked up along the edge of the shoulders, and the shoulders are worked individually back and forth. Stitches are then cast on to join the 2 shoulders into the front panel. The front and back panels are joined, and the body is worked in the round on a circular needle. The body is finished by a bottom rib hem. The sleeve stitches are picked up from the armhole, and the sleeves are worked in the round and finished by a rib stitch cuff. Finally, stitches are picked up from the neck opening and worked in rib stitch. The rib stitch neck hem is folded double and knitted down. The structured stripes on the sweater start on the back and front panels and continue down the body and the sleeves. Follow the placing and the chart for the stripes as described in the pattern below.
