Here's a template for all your hangman playing needs! Of course, you don't need a template at all. My kids and I have played hangman on various bits of scrap paper found in my purse, including receipts! But having a template is fun too and helps when playing with younger kids. The version above includes the outline of the hanged dude and outlines for letter blanks. These make it easy for kids to trace. The version below has no outlines which allows players to make longer words, phrases, or even more complex hanged dudes! Hangman really is a game of unlimited fun! If you need directions on how to play Hangman, About.com has thorough instructions. Just click on the Hangman templates, and you can download them from GoogleDrive. After downloading, feel free to print them as many times as you like!
⭐️Stardog Puzzle Purse!💫 by e.k.mosley (Letter or Valentine) Origami This was my first time making a puzzle purse and I had so much fun painting each little picture on all the hidden folds. These beautiful little paper creations can be dated back to Japanese paper folding techniques called tatogami and origami from Japan’s Heian era (782-1185 CE). In Japan they were called Tato and used to hold small objects like buttons, stamps, needles, thread and other small bits and bobs. But when they started coming over to the west, people began drawing pictures on them and using them to write secret messages and love letters. The Victorian’s called them Puzzle Purses and were particularly fond of gifting them on Valentine’s Day. Today puzzle purses remain a fun way to send a magical letter to friends, family and loved one all year round, for all sorts of holidays and special occasions. I hope you enjoy folding your own Stardog Puzzle Purse to keep little treasures in. • Photos are of the original handprinted puzzle purse and the front and back of the digital files • Format - pdf download (and jpgs of front and back) • Pdf can be printed as many times as you wish and on any paper you like. Boggle! I love this. This is so easy and fun for the kids. Boggle Upper and lower case letters match This is a simple activity that can be put together to create a center. You will need to print laminate and cut out the wheels. You will then create a set of clothes pins with each letter of the alphabet on them. One set upper case and one set lower. The students will match the pin to the correct spot on the wheel. Upper and Lower case letters Beginning and ending sounds This activity is the same concept as the upper and lower case letters. You can reuse your clothes pins!!!! This time students will find the clothes pin with the correct ending or beginning sound. Beginning and ending sounds Sight words are a very important part of grades k-2. A great way to use them in your ABC station is to have students build them with cookie sheets and magnetic letters. In your station you can have a variety of list so the students can pick the list that is just right for them. Then they begin to build. You can do this very easy to put together activity with sight words, math, science, or vocabulary from different books in class. The attachment I have on here is blank and an open file so you can save a blank document and then add the words you wish. In the Very Hungry Caterpillar unit there are vocab cards made and ready to use. Blank sight word cards At the start of the year another activity you can do in the ABC station is working with the students names. Each student will get an apple card ad write their name on it. Then you can take a picture of each student and put it on another apple. Picture taking is a great thing to come and let parents do and often they will even take the pictures and have them printed. Once the names and pictures are on the apples I would laminate them. Put the apples in center and have the students match the names to the pictures. If you are going to let students help pass out papers this is a great way for them to start learning each others names. Once they master this they can begin to put the apples in ABC order. Apples Here is a cute upper and lower case letter matching activity. I am working on a basketball match and it is coming soon! Upper and Lower case letter match Here's basketball! upper and lower case match

Well, here we are, January 24th and I need to get several sets of angel wings made by the end of the month. After a lull, I'm getting requests for them again and so I'll need to make a trip to our local framing shop to buy some mat board large enough for the bases. By February 4th, I should have a large variety of love tokens ready. There will be more than a dozen puzzle purse valentines, a dozen or so soldered heart in hand charms, several more framed love tokens {the ones listed in my Etsy shop sold out in just a few days ~ thank you!}, possibly a few heart in hand paperweights, and if all goes as planned, I will have just a few love tokens in antique velvet frames. I only had one last year and it sold right away. There were requests for more, but unfortunately I didn't have any frames. Over the past year, I have been collecting those beautiful, old, worn velvet frames {some were found via a dealer in France!} and I hope to make some pretty, paper pieces just for these frames {and for you!}. I have stacks of parchment papers to age and stain, I have my tools of the trade gathered, and I will be busy working for the next couple of weeks. This is going to be FUN! :) I keep putting this off, but I will be back this week with some exciting news.... some of you have already heard and seen it, but I just haven't had time to announce it on my blog yet. ;) Take Care and God Bless, Lana ~*~
