Artsy Albums Scrapbook Mini Album and Page Layout Kits by Traci Penrod.
Today I want to share with you some details found in my most recent Project Life album. An 8x8 album. See, this is how it goes: when I have a lot of photos that need to tell a story, I go for an album. An album by definition is a collection. Today's album has almost 50 photos. Now I call that a collection, right?!? Not only am I happy to have all these photos printed and in one place, but the use of 4x4 and 2x2 pockets to make it all fit even more perfectly, well, that is just eye candy waiting to happen. Would you like to see the details of this book? A girlfriend's trip to the South. (um...that would be Charleston, South Carolina for those of you who live in the Southern Hemisphere.) First I will show you the format that all the pages will be following. Then I will take you through each page and point out the details. So ya might wanna grab a cuppa. There is a lot to share. So this is a very fancy diagram of my page flow. If you follow me at all, you know that I typically create mini albums with a page flow. Each divided section in my album is equal to one day. The very first page is a Heidi Swapp Project Life Tab Divider. I used the clear ones. Next there is an 8x8 page protector. An enlarged photo on one side and a traditional layout on the other. The next two pages are the 4x4 pocket page protectors. Then, on those pages may be a 2x2 page protector that I used the with the Fuse. Then... the sections start all over again. Here is the first clear Tab Divider. It already has the 'right here & now' embossed on the front. I am going to highlight tips for these pages with an asterick ( * ). Are ya ready? Deep breath... *Place clear stickers on the clear Tab Divider to add more interest. *Mix in traditional scrapbook pages with the Project Life Pages, as seen here on the back side of the 8x8 pocket page. *Keep is simple and crop your photos (or use your Instagram images) to 4x4 and slip them right in the pockets. The emphasis here are the photos! *Slip a Wood Card in a pocket. Use an overlay (bon jour) right on top as an embellishment. *On the back side of the Wood Card, keep it exposed, and add a Gold Sticker with an enamel heart. You don't even have to take the card back out of the pocket, place it right on top of the pocket. *Use Alpha Stickers to designate the day of the week. *Add stamps + Phrase Stickers + Alpha Stickers to customize journal cards. That is the end of the first divided section. Now it starts all over again. A clear Tab Divider, and the rest follows. *Adhere photos right on the clear Tab Divider. *The 'reality check' is a clear 3x4 card, use it as a page embellishment. *The Overlay cards come 6x4. Trim to 4x4-inches to fit a 4x4 pocket. Allow a photo from another page to show through. Don't have photos that fit a 4x4 ratio? *Trim photo to 3x4 and Fuse a 3x4 Photo Sleeve to the page. Slip photo on the top, filler card on the back, and journaling underneath. *Trim down 6x4 journal cards to fit the 4x4 pockets. Even the graphic cards, they make for great journaling spaces too. *Fuse a 2x2 pocket on top of a 4x4 pocket. Gives more room for more photos. *Add additional stickers to the Tab Dividers. *Use a 4x4 Overlay to simply dress up a photo. Sometimes less is more. *Add journaling to a 3x4 card. Slip inside the 4x4 pocket and staple in place. Last tip for today... *Add a clear sticker to the back of a journal card and write on it too! Well that is more than a couple of ways (16 to be exact) around a Project Life album. I hope a couple are useful for you and your memories. supplies: Project Life: Tab Dividers. Gold Phrase Stickers. Gold Stickers. 8x8 Page Protectors. Color Shine. Fill In The Blank Value Kit. Bright Overlays Value Kit. 4x4 Word Cards. 4x4 Overlays and Page Protectors. Prismatic Core Kit. Washi Tape.

This week I’ve been thinking about next month and working on my 4th December Daily™ album. I ordered Ali’s base kit and got the red 6 x 4 album. (You can still order her goodies and have them for your December projects.) I was all set to do a 6 x 4 album (because the album […]
I am currently working on our Spring Break 2016 pictures from Florida, and have decided to make a separate mini album for my Legoland pictures. I'm using a Simple Stories 6x8 album. The chipboard stickers are from Hobby Lobby Paper Studios, and I picked up the Lego stickers from a stationary kit from the Big Shop at Legoland, Florida. They were on clearance in the Chima booth, so I don't know their current availability. TITLE PAGE I knew that I wanted a see-through Lego cluster for my opening page. I picked out a few of my son's extra pieces and sewed them into the pocket. I saved all of my receipts and packaging from the trip, which is what the tag is at the top (from a keychain purchase I think.) The background Lego paper is from the stationary set I mentioned above, they were originally blank cards that I just cut down to size. I'm using Pinkfresh Studio's Life Noted Puffy Yellow Alpha throughout the album as titles. PART i - LEGOLAND HOTEL I'm opening the album with the hotel details, since we spent the night there before we actually went into the park, so it keeps the photos chronological. The hotel journaling card is from Sahlin Studio's Project Mouse We're Here collection. The welcome card is from our check-in packet. Here's a close up of the back of the see-through Lego pocket. The star on top is also from Lego Friends extra pieces. We stayed in Adventure themed room and loved it! I can't say enough how great this hotel was. The kids still talk about going back and trying the other themes. The "our room" journaling card is from Sahlin Studio's Project Mouse We're Here collection. I saved one of our hotel keys and inserted it into a card is from Sahlin Studio's Project Mouse We're Here collection. I will be adding stickers here and there from the DK Ultimate Lego Minifigure sticker book I got off Amazon. The room had this fun treasure hunt for the kids. I was impressed by how much loot they actually got! Free Legos?! Heck ya!! I included their little treasure hunt card from the room. I thought that these yellow Lego studs resembled treasure, so I used them as a bullet list to journal what they got. The back of the treasure hunt card was blank, so I turned it into a pocket using paper from the stationary kit, and stickers from the sticker book. I then tucked one of the activity packs they got, and tied it together with string (it originally hung on a lanyard around their necks). The right side documents the fabulous disco elevator. It played disco music and had dancing lights each time you rode it. The kids LOVED this part! Well done, Legoland Hotel! I kept a napkin from the Bricks Family Restaurant and tucked it into a pocket. The Lego journaling card came from Pixie Sprite. NEXT UP: Part ii - Legoland Kingdoms, Adventure, City, and Technic Part iii - Heartlake City, Pirates Cove, Miniland, Chima, and Star Wars Part iv - Legoland Waterpark

Hey guys! It's Friday and today's new kit is all about being crafty! So, if you love being artistic and making things with your hands (or know someone who does) ... this kit is perfect for you. It's titled Creative Happy Girl and it's filled with beautiful colors, flowers, prints and lots of fun crafty details! I designed this with the Simple Stories, Let's Get Crafty collection and a pretty pink 6"x8" binder album. I love how colorful and vibrant the cover is with its mix of delicate flowers and black and white geometric print. In the center ... lots of little pink hearts and cute crafting supplies. I love the tiny tote packed with goodies. Inside, the pretty colors continue. There's a fun little magazine cover card that I attached to a piece of clear acetate. The backside has pink dots and would make a great spot for a photo, scrappin' with friends. It's perfect for pictures from a weekend crop, a scrapbook expo, or a retreat. Take this kit to your next event and create it while your there. Ha! An Artsy Albums album that holds photos of you creating an Artsy Albums album! Yep, great idea ... spread the word. 😉 This fold-out page is pretty awesome. It has the Happy & Crafty pocket with 2 sections filled with tags. You can use these for smaller photos or journaling. Crafting is the best when you do it with friends, your mom, or sister. Be sure to take pictures, share ideas, swap supplies and maybe even enjoy some wine and snacks. Sounds fun! If you love to make arts and crafts projects with the littles, document all the fun here. The wonderful, messy and creative moments will be sweet to look back on. Also, don't forget to take pictures of what you created so you always have a image of it. Things can be thrown away and a mini photo version is easy to save. Here's a fun card to document why you craft. I would have to check ALL the boxes. Seriously, all of them. Add some pictures of your own scrapbook room, studio, or corner desk where your creative juices flow. This album works for ANY artist. And before you sell or give away your work ... take photos and save them here. It can act as your portfolio! If you also enjoy sewing, knitting or crocheting ... the 12x12 sticker sheet included in the kit has images of yarn, buttons, thread, a pin cushion, tape measure and a "sew cute" sticker. Whether you're a scrapper, painter, card maker, stamper, or just love creating anything that requires a glue gun, I gotcha. With stickers of paint tubes, brushes, ribbon, ink pads, a tape gun and more ... you can choose what works for YOU. Another idea ... give this as a gift. If you have someone that loves to scrap, give them the kit and they could make it themselves. Or, you can make it for them and let them add all their own photos. Check out this pocket. Think of all the journaling, photos, tickets, notes, receipts and fun memorabilia you can save in there. I'm telling you ... this one will just make you feel good! Thanks for stopping by. Hop over to my shop to see all my fun album kits, premade albums and page layout kits. Blog * Facebook * Instagram * Pinterest
Hi everyone! Yesterday didnt end up working out for posting the pictures of Journeys scrapbook. So, today I snapped a few and also scanned in my "blueprints/inspiration." These were created for a 4x6 sized page, I am sure they could be converted for 8.5x11 use fairly easy. But, the pictures sizes listed are figured for a 4x6 page. :) Anyhow, the areas left white indicate a picture. you can click here to get these sketches at full size I buy those cheap albums and pay around a dollar for them. I remove the art/photography that is inside the front and...
