Karen Burniston's Design Team has our challenge day today, with 'The Great Outdoors' as our theme. For my card I used Karen's Tent Pop-Up die set, which includes everything to make a beautiful tent, fire, fire surround, and pop-up tree stump! The papers I used are all from Carta Bella's 'Flora No.2' 12x12 set and 6x6 pad. The sentiment comes from the 6x6 pad. Karen has a great assembly video, which shows how the card comes easily together - it was seriously so satisfying to make! The grass border was made using Karen's Nature Edges die set. I thought about what I like most when I go camping - I like making my tent pretty (yes, I've hung bunting on my tent before, though I haven't got such a gorgeous floral tent!), I like a good book, a decent light (in this case a lantern from the Camping Charms set), and nice things to eat and drink. I tried to re-create those elements in my card! (The book and mug with marshmallows I cut by hand.) The card front is just very simple, with a sentiment from the 12x12 Flora No.2 set. Everything folds down very cleverly! Product Links:

After a long time wanting to try this style of card I finally gave it a go. And wow what fun these are awesome to make and actually so easy I wish I tired it years back. I used the awesome one for all stamp set, its linked below, what a great set so versatile and this particular stamp just jumped out at me so i created it over and over and fussy cut the image to create my card. This card is so easy to make its almost embarrassing doing a tutorial but I always figure someone out there like me may think its complicated and not try it so here we are... If I can encourage just one crafter to try this card my job here is done. I do have a basic walk trough and tutorial of the card structure on my Youtube here https://youtu.be/-ZveH8qhsMo so you can take a closer look . So grab a brew get comfy and enjoy the video. Hello ! Céline here with Tutorial Thursday. For the Christmas new release I made a pop up panel card and many of you asked me how to do it. Each measurement is in cm For the pop up system you need a cardstock cut at 29.8 x 22.5 2 pieces of patterned papers at 14.5 x 10.2 for the panel you need cardstock cut at 30 x 8.2 and 4 pieces of paterned papers cut at 7.1 x 7.8 and for the card base you need cardstock cut at 30 x 10.5 and score in half To start, here are the measures for the pop up system (29.8 x 22.5 cardstock) Here is the result Take the 2 pieces of paterned papers 14.5 x 10.2 and cut the corners like shown in the picture below and adhere them to the pop up system Take the 30 x 8.2 cardstock and score at 7.5, 15 and 22.5 and adhere the 4 pieces of patterned papers cut at 7.1 x 7.8 to the panel. Adhere letters you want to have as message Decorate as you want Now it's time to adhere the panel on the pop up system Place the panel at the bottom of the pop up system (panels are centered) you have to see "2" "u" at the top and made a mark on the cardstock repeat by placing the panel at the top of the pop up system you have now marks to see how/where to add glue Adhere the inside card to the base card And to finish, decorate the front of the card I've used : stamp : Celebrate you Marci dies : Celebrate you, balloons, filigree flowers, loopy corner, pierced scalloped circles, double stitched circles, fancy doily Here is a little video I've made to show the opening of the card, sorry for the quality, it's made with my phone. That's all for me today, hope you like my tutorial. If you have any question i would be happy to help. Hugs Céline
carte pop-up biplan ! effet bluffant à l'ouverture .
Hello my crafty friends! I have seen a lot of these flower pot cards lately and am finally getting around to making one myself. It has bee...
I feel so good today 'cause I actually had time to get "other" crafting done! Aren't you proud of me??? I have been so swamped lately that all I could do was the Paper Doll projects! I was really afraid that you may get bored or me or something - and say - oh, I'm not going to check out Mod Paperie anymore - she doesn't have any new stuff... so...... I'm going to try all my best from here on! So, what initially inspired me to make something was because of SVG Attic's challenge going on (ends tomorrow evening 5PM PT). I've gotten to know the SVG artist, Jessica, really well and I just wanted to show support and my love for her first ever challenge! For your info - she just started out her online store, and she's truly amazing - LOVE LOVE LOVE all her designs! As well, Alyssa, the owner of My Thoughts Exactly (my DT company!) is running a challenge on her Facebook page for her step card week. All you have to do is to make a step card, post it on their wall, and you'll be entered to win $5 GC to Lettering Delights! So, anyway, the requirements for SVG Attic's challenge was to use one of these collections: Luau, Little League or Cape Cod sets. I decided to make a step card using Cape Cod collection, and add some Just Beachy embellishments in there as well! Smart of me, huh? Kill two birds with one stone! It was my first ever step card that I made - and I had a lot of fun with it! I don't know why I haven't made one before! You'll for sure be seeing more step cards from me in the future!!! So, ready to see my card I made??? Ta-da!!!! Do you like??? The side view! Even though I have so many foam tape behind the cuts, it actually closes very nicely! The lighthouse... The boat in the background... you can't really see the waves, but it's there! ... and the sentiment comes from Pink by Design "Summer Vacation" stamp set. Doesn't it totally go with this card??? I also love all my Maraschino twine additions here from The Twinery! Oh, and I also sprayed the base cardstock with Tim Holtz Glimmer Mist - Leather to give kinda sandy look. Anyway, that's the card - hope you like! I also wanted to let you know that you're also in for a very exciting weekend!!!! Me, along with other talented crafty girls are hosting a Summer Shinding Blog Hop! I'm so excited to share my project with you, so please come back on Friday to see it! I'm going to have some blog candies as well, so fun! Fun! Fun! Hope to see you all here!

It's time for another Friday Mashup and this week Tara has a fun challenge for us! She wants to see a project with stripes on it, plus include a removable/movable element. I was a bit stumped on the movable part. I was going to do a bookmark and thought, naw, get a little more out of your comfort zone. So then I thought about a slider card....naw, too much work involved LOL. After perusing the net I finally decided on a mini blinds card! I didn't have any rectangle dies so cutting out the middle part was the toughest part. I used the Grand Madison Window die to decorate around the hole and for the image inside I stamped an image from For The Birds. I forgot to take a picture but the sentiment inside the card reads "you make me happy" from the Happy Watercolor set. Most of the mini blinds cards I found didn't open like a traditional card but I wanted to keep mine like that, with a sentiment inside. I hope you'll come by The Friday Mashup to check out all the great projects from the rest of the DT and then play along with us, we'd love to see what you do!

Firstly I must apologise for not blogging for the last 3 days. No excuses, sorry. Today I am starting with makes using products from the new catalogue. Its only 2 weeks away so exciting times. I have had a number of requests for instructions for this cascade card so it seemed ideal to start with the Daisy Delight stamp set. Two sheets of A4 card, landscape, measure 6" up one side and 3" up the other, join marks. Repeat on the second piece of card. Then mark 3" and 11/2" up the ends and join. Repeat on second piece of card. Ensure your horizontal lines slope from left to right then starting on the left mark vertical lines at 2" intervals. Cut along the top sloping line! Working left to right again cut up the first line to the central horizontal, score and valley fold the second line. Cut up the third line, score and fold the fourth, cut up the fifth to the central line. On the second piece of card cut down from the top to the central line, score and fold the second line, cut down the third line, score and fold the fourth and cut down the final line to the central horizontal line. As below The two pieces of card then slot together I have stamped both sides of mine with hardwood and decorated with punched Daisies and also used the retiring Blossom Bunch punch to make the little daisies. Decorate as you wish. The lines can be rubbed out before stamping. Once you have made one you won't need to draw all the lines in!
Thanks for coming to visit my blog! Hope you enjoy looking around.....
