A Martin B-26C-45-MO Marauder (s/n 42-107685) patrolling over the Normandy invasion. This particular aircraft served with the 450th Bomb Squadron, 322nd Bomb Group, 9th Air Force (in this photo) and was later transfered to the 558th Bomb Squadron, 387th Bomb Group, 9th Air Force. She was lost on Feb. 22,1945 when damaged by AAA and the crew bailed out.

B-26C-45-MA Marauder s/n 42-107566 441st BS, 320th BG, 12th AF Battle # 06 Shot down by flak on the July 10,1944 mission to bomb the railroad bridge at Marzabotto, Italy. A direct hit blew the left wing and horizontal stabilizer off, sending the plane into an uncontrollable spin and trapping the crew inside. It was the crews second mission to the target area that day.
