Made this goofy prop with leftover slime saved as a souvenir from this season's Brainsurge. The other materials are a used soda bottle, a cork and an old Halloween cupcake topper that niece Devin gave me last year. Actually Devin gave me the soda bottle as well last year, with a cute note to make something out of, but I never did. I kept safe though and will finally now find a place in my Halloween decor this October. Thought it fun to call it Voodoo Devin's in thanks to her contributions to the prop. The slime as well has a bit of connection, Devin came to visit her old uncle at work and be in the audience for a taping of Brainsurge this year. I designed the label to be intentionally less creepy and more lighthearted looking with an "old timey" grocery or pharmacy style. Feel free to use, but I'm keeping the slime recipe a closely guarded secret.

Linocut printed on high quality Fabriano Rosapina 220givory paper. Illustration taken from my project "Où la nuit me porte". This linocut can be used as a wall decoration, why not combined with other illustrations. I manually print each copy, so each is unique with slight variations in color. There are 40 copies signed by hand in pencil. Format 22 x 22 cm. They are sold unframed. I draw my project directly on the linoleum and the grave using gouges. Then I roll a water-based ink on the lino and lay the paper to make a manual print. If you would like another color than those offered, or if you have a question, don't hesitate to ask me.

The park ranger showed them were an ancient tree once stood, before it mysteriously burned down. It was said to have a goblin living in it. In the ashes, something was found. Her tale told, Devin handed her old uncle his gift, a custom prop, she made herself. No cabinet of curiosities, anywhere in the world, has an oddity as wonderful and special as this one is to me.

These Halloween potions are easy to make and work with any witch or Harry Potter themed Halloween setup. Need more potion ideas? Halloween Potion Labels If you're not familiar with the process of staining paper with coffee to make it look aged, check out my Halloween potion pendants tutorial to find out how to give paper that aged look. Phantasma Materials: *Glass vial *Stuffing *Coffee-stained "aged" paper *Black gel pen *Hole punch *Twine Directions: *Take a small amount of stuffing and separate it out until it looks wispy. Place wisps of stuffing into the bottle until it is full and then close off the bottle. *Cut a tag from the "aged" paper. Punch a hole in the top. Label the tag "Phantasma" or "Ghost in a Bottle" or whatever seems fitting. *Tie the tag around the bottle's neck using twine. Faerie Skulls Materials: *Glass bottle *Skull beads *Coffee-stained "aged" paper *Black gel pen *Hole punch *Twine Directions: *Pour skull shaped beads into the bottle and then close the bottle. Try to maneuver the beads such that the hole through the middle is not noticeable. *Cut a tag from the "aged" paper. Punch a hole in the top. Label the tag "Faerie Skulls" or whatever seems fitting. *Tie the tag around the bottle's neck using twine. Nightmares This potion is just a full sized version of the "Nightmares" potion pendant I made a few years back. Materials: *Glass vial *Black glitter *Coffee-stained "aged" paper *Black gel pen *Hole punch *Twine Directions: *Pour glitter into the vial and then cork the vial. *Cut a tag from the "aged" paper. Punch a hole in the top. Label the tag "Nightmares." *Tie the tag around the bottle's neck using twine. Love Potion Materials: *Glass vial *White glitter *Small, heart shaped sequins/spangles *Coffee-stained "aged" paper *Black gel pen *Hole punch *Twine Directions: *Fill the vial about halfway with white glitter. *Add some heart spangles and shake until the hearts and glitter are well mixed. Add more glitter and hearts until you have the desired ratio of the two. Cork the vial. *Cut a tag from the "aged" paper. Punch a hole in the top. Label the tag "Love Potion." *Tie the tag around the bottle's neck using twine.
