Hello & welcome! Today I have a sweet & fun card to share with you - my Just Add Ink Design Team project for this week's colour challenge and made for my darling man. It's a very supply friendly card, combining the cute & new to me Badger Besties stamp set with my well used fave, Biggest Wish, plus ink and card in Polished Pink and Soft Succulent. Some gold Gilded Leafing adds a luxe touch. And no dies or punches were needed - surprise! Here's my finished card. Let's start with the cute badger pair. I stamped two of the three badger images in the set with Memento black ink and coloured them using my Watercolour Pencils (black, gray & white). I didn't wet the image as I was trying to create the look of fur/hair (do badgers have fur or hair?). Then some fussy cutting & grumbling commenced as I'm a bit rusty, but I got there in the end. To create the background I stamped a cluster of both 'happy' sentiments in the Biggest Wish set. All the block letter images were stamped off first onto scrap. The script 'happy' is full strength. The cluster of words was inspired by the messy grid paper on my desk which had image tests from one of my World Card Making Day projects. Inspiration is everywhere I tell you. Check out Instagram to see what I worked on. The strips of coloured card anchor the badgers on the card, and the gold Gilded Leafing added touches of lovely shine. This was my first play with the leafing and oh my goodness what a mess I made. It does add a nice touch though don't you think? Inside is very simple, replicating the pink strip & stamp cluster, but it all adds to the coordination. So that's my take on the colour challenge. I hope my darling man loves his card as much as I enjoyed making it. Remember to check out the Just Add Ink blog to see all the beautiful cards created by the Team. Creative Stampers Tutorial Blog Hop June 2021 Creative Stampers Tutorial Blog Hop Hey there! It is time for another Creative Stampers Tutorial Blog Hop! This tutorial features project created by 11 amazing Stampin'UP! demonstrators from around the world featuring projects using their favourite new products from the new annual SU Catalogue! Each tutorial includes full colour photos, measurements in both imperial and metric and and a product list. Today, each of us will be sharing a second project using the same products we used to create the project in the tutorial. Here is a sneak peek of my project included in the tutorial! ;) I can't share the tutorial project, but I can share a second project featuring the Party Puffins Stampset, Contour Dies and the best paper pack in the catalogue....Pattern Party! (I am seeing a party theme here.) I have family ties to the east coast in Newfoundland as well as New Brunswick where these puffins can be found. When my son's were really small they loved seeing any pictures or videos of puffins - so this set HAD to be top of my list. And this paper pack - you had me at black and white buffalo check - yes please! But you can only purchase it with hostess reward dollars, so gather a few friends and divide up the pack.
