Happy Tuesday... Have you ever had a day that no matter you tried to do or squeeze in, it couldn't get finished... That was my Monday! Pigs, Garden, Crafting and Bickering Kids took the day by storm. I had a couple quiet hours to get todays card done before the bottom fell out of the bag. Today I am designing with The Spot Design Team! We have an amazing SQUARE card sketch! It is not a card or design layout I reach to but I had so much fun inking up the NEW Blossoms In Bloom Bundle! Let me show you what I have made! My card started with a Flirty Flamingo stamped flower pattern from the Blossoms In Bloom stamp set. I used my Stamparatus and then the Layering Circles to die cut this. I have added a bit of Pear Pizzazz stamped leaves and Crushed Curry stamped centers. The Greenery Embossing Folder was just the right touch on my Whisper White Layer. I have added a sentiment with Gold Foil mat. A few Flirty Flamingo stamped flowers and this cutie was done! I can't wait to see what you create with this challenge! Happy Crafting!
Hello there stamping friends! I'm super excited to be taking part in a blog hop with my Australian and New Zealand friends from the facebook group, ESAD (Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators). Grab a cuppa or your favourite beverage, put your feet up as there is lots of new Annual Catalogue inspiration to show you today. Our hop today is showcasing products from the ALL NEW 2019 - 2020 Annual Catalogue, which goes live June 4th!! I can't wait for this catalogue to officially go live to purchase from as there are LOADS of amazing products in this catalogue and I for one can't wait to get my hands on some new products!! It's the Stampin' Up! equivalent of Christmas! So exciting! Today I'm giving you a two for one. I'm showcasing the new 2019 - 2021 In Colors as well as a new stamp set and die bundle - To a Wild Rose. This stamp set has been inspired by Million Dollar Sales Achiever Mary Ellen Byler. The cards are all the same and using the same products, just changing up the In Colour for each different card. They are amazing colours in their own right but don't they look fabulous all together too. Each card I've stamped the flower image on the Crumb Cake cardstock with Crumb Cake ink. Layered on that is an In Color DSP panel die cut from the In Color 6" x 6" DSP stack, a die cut vellum piece, some ribbon and trim and then the To A Wild Rose flower image stamped with versamark and then heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. The card is then finished off with the 'Hello' sentiment, also from the To A Wild Rose stamp set, the Gold Glimmer die cut leaf and the In Color Faceted Dots. Terracotta Tile Seaside Spray Pretty Peacock Purple Posy Rococo Rose Which one is your favourite new In Color? I'm loving Pretty Peacock, especially when teamed with anything gold, and then a close equal second is Rococo Rose and Purple Posy. What do you think your favourite In Color Combination might be? Might have to try using them all on one creation for a gorgeous and pretty look. If you are after a copy of the new catalouge, please contact me today and I'll get one out to you! Now on to the fabulous Kelly Kent in Western Australia to be inspired by her 2019 -2020 Annual Catalogue creations. 1. Lou Kitzelman 2. Rochelle Blok - You are here 3. Kelly Kent 4. Jo Stubbings 5. Hello stamping friends. It's so good to have you here.Welcome to this month's edition of the Stamapin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. This month we are creating projects either using the Hostess Stamp Sets from the 2019 - 2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue or gifts that you can give your hostess when they hold a party with you. International readers please use the translate feature, found in the side bar, to translate to your language. The hostess sets are a fabulous incentive for those who hold a Stampin' Up! party, to get some free products working with your demonstrator to host a Stampin' Up! party is a great way to experience the joy of creativity as you gather with your friends and earn free products. I'm showcasing for you today the Soft Spring Hostess Stamp Set. How gorgeous are those plant images? They look like lavender and wisteria to me. Either use the stamps to fill in the open line work or colour them in using Stampin' Blends or water colour. Soft Spring I've stamped some of the images on Crumb Cake cardstock and the others on Whisper White Thick cardstock for two different square card looks. Both coloured in with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. My first card I've used Memento tuxedo Black ink to stamp the images on Crumb Cake cardstock. I stamped the first lot of the plant image to to far left, stamped the same image on a Post-it note and then fussy cut that out. I covered the first image with the cut out Post-it note and then restamped the same image over the first image to make it look like they were layered together, using the masking technique. Because the actual stamps are photopolymer, I was able to 'bend' the stamp on the clear block to give the second stamping of the plant image to make it look like it was bending over slightly. I've then coloured the leaves with Mossy Meadow Dark & Light Stampin' Blends Markers and the 'lavender' tops with Highland Heather Dark & Light Stampin' Blends Makers. I finished the card off with a splatter of the Highland Heather Stampin' Write Markers, Embossed the top layer with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and some ribbon, trim and embellishments. The sentiment comes from the Free as a Bird Stamp Set, which has been heat embossed with Black Stampin' Emboss Powder. My second card this time has been stamped on Whisper White Thick Cardstock. I've started with the image that is used to stamp in the open line work of the 'wisteria' plant, to quickly add colour to the image. I've used this infill image to make a splatter look on the background of the card. Either using full strength ink or ink that has been stamped off once or twice. I love the fun look that this image gives to the background. After that I've used the Highland Heather Stampin' Write Marker for some added splatter. The 'wisteria' image I stamped on Whisper White Thick cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured it in with Highland Heather Dark & Light, Mossy Meadow Dark & Light and Gray Granite Light Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. How fun does the 'wisteria' image look on the Stitched Nested Label die cut? I've also embossed the Stitched Nested Die cut with the Subtle 3D embossing folder for that 'subtle' addition of texture. Again, all finished off with ribbon, trim, embellishments and the sentiment from the Free as a Bird stamp set. Host can earn this stamp set for free depending on the order totals for an entire party. You can order on line at- susiewood.stampinup.net Or contact ME here! Here is my April HOSTESS CODE: F9QVDU64 NOTE: The Ornate Border Dies are on back order already! WOW! What a popular product it is! But you can still order these dies & this suite. This back ordered die will be available at the SU! warehouse around May 4th, 2020. And there are LOTS of these dies on the way! But don't delay too long in ordering this if you want them sooner than later!! WOO HOO......check out today's card!!! Last night I whipped up this quick card for today's post. I had this Flirty Flamingo lattice base, in my scrap box....and decided it would go great with this flowery Ornate Garden DSP! I learned to do this lattice fold many years ago! It was probably one of the first technique type things I ever did. I remember adding a little piece of cardstock to the inside of the card, behind the lattice, to make it complete! Humm.....my mind still thinks that way I guess, because as soon as I added the card stock inside the card- "I was pleased with how it all seemed to pull together"! So I think that is gorgeous! Don't you think so too? You can't tell by the photo, but I added Wink of Stella onto all of the White Flowers in this DSP on the card front. stamp set: 'Ornate Thanks' card stock: Flirty Flamingo- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 4 1/4"- fold in half for card base Old Olive- 5 1/2 x 1 1/2"- score at 3/4" (in middle); 3 1/4 x 5 1/4"; 1 x 3 1/2" Whisper White- 2" strip- stamp words onto & cut out with die; 3 1/4 x 5 1/4"- for inside of card designer paper: Ornate Garden Specialty DSP- ink: Old Olive other: Big Shot; Magnetic Platform; Ornate Layers Die; Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo (Old Olive); Basic Pearls; Paper Snips; dimensionals; glue dots; Wink of Stella Over the years I have posted a few lattice cards on my blog. You can click on the links below to see those cards that I created! Succulents Lattice Card! Blooming with Kindness Lattice Card! Celebrate Lattice Card! And.....after I got this all ready for my blog post, I decided I had better go back & recreate the steps on how I did the lattice. As now I hope you'll want to make one too! Just keep reading.......and let me show you how you can make a lattice edge card like this! How did I do it? **If you would like the lattice template I used, you can click on this link to get it! Susie's Template 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 4 1/4"- fold in half for card base. Take a paper template & put along the FOLDED edge for the card front. I used paper clips to keep it in place. With your scissors, CUT on all of the lines, on the template. Open up your card & lay it down, with the FRONT of the card up- like this. Then you will FOLD down each of the tabs. It will look like this! Notice how you have a triangle top/point in between each tab you fold down. You want to make sure you have those triangle points- so be sure it looks like how I have mine folded down as shown in the photo! With your scissors snip off this bottom tab. It will then look like this at the bottom of your card. BE SURE that you SAVE this tab.......as you are going to glue it onto the top, front of the card next! Add glue to the tab like this. Put it directly onto the top front of the card. It will then look like this photo, once you have glued it on. Now take each one of the tabs (yes all of them) & tuck them downwards, so that they are now underneath the triangle top points. It will then look like this photo when you have them all tucked down. Then fold the card base in half again. This is what it looks like now that you have gotten your lattice fold done!! YAY! So those of you that stamp with me each month, know that I'm type A. Yup....and I just thought I had to add this 5 1/2 x 1 1/2" strip to the inside of the lattice to make my card complete. So I score this strip down the center (at the 3/4" mark). I open the card back up.....add a little bit of adhesive to the center (as shown). I chose to use liquid glue again to do this. And then I add this folded strip inside this lattice. This is what the inside of the card will now look like with this strip glued into it! Fold your card shut & this is what the outside of your lattice card will now look like! You are ready to finish it, by decorating it however you choose to do! WOO HOO!! I hope you have fun making a lattice card! **If you would like the lattice template I used, you can click on this link to get it! Susie's Template I hope you have a great Thursday!! Happy Stamping! Hugs- SUSIE
I just couldn't resist. I love the new in colours, here they are with a sneak peek at one stamp in the 'Crafting Forever' stamp set. I have coloured the stamp with the marker pens to get this image and the stamping was by eye, no magic machinery here! The wording is evidence of that!!! I did think of printing the sentiment on the computer, trimming and adding it but that Labeler alphabet was calling to be used. Its just not as easy as it looks or maybe I am just a bit cak-handed. Anyway I love this one. On another note, I think you are going to really love all the 'In colours' this year. But getting it all can prove a stretch for the pocket so I have come up with an ingenious plot. Here it is:- For the first time ever I would like to offer to my customers a new way of buying…… If 5 people sign up for this now, then over the next 5 months, each person, each month will receive one colour of an ink pad a marker pen a bottle of re-inker, a full reel of ribbon, 8 double sided sheets of patterned papers for that colour a pack of A 4 card 4 bows At the end of the 5 months you would have everything for all of the in colours. This would work out at £30 per month. (for each of the 5 months) PLUS each month one person would be the hostess and be able to choose £15 of goodies including the hostess stamp sets from the catalogue for free. When it is your month or on other months you would of course be able to order other items. I hope that makes sense, if not email me. You will need to be able to collect or I am happy to post out at postage cost. Contact me before the 15th of June to take part in this special offer.
This is one of those images that is so easy to color, because the shading is already done for you! Of course, you can add more shading if you are so inclined, but it really doesn't need it. You can use just one color and it will still look fab! This blossom is from the Flowering Blooms cling stamp set, which is one of the DistINKtive stamps Stampin' Up! offers. There is a lot of fine detail, so this is definitely one you will want to ink with a sponge dauber for the best results. There is also a coordinating die set, called Flowering Dies. That pretty filigree edging is part of the set. I didn't even realize it was in there until I went to grab the die for this flower. I thought the Purple Posy paired nicely with the Basic Gray DSP from In Good Taste, and there was just enough contrast with the Basic Gray card base. I dyed the Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon with the Light Purple Posy Stampin' Blend Marker to make the coordinating bow. Product List Flowering Blooms Bundle (English) Whisper White 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock Basic Gray 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock In Good Taste Designer Series Paper Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad Purple Posy Stampin' Blends Combo Pack Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Markers Combo Pack Versamark Pad Heat Tool (Us And Canada) White Stampin' Emboss Powder Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon Mini Stampin' Dimensionals

Hello there stamping friends! Welcome to the July Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! The team has so many amazing creations for you to see! I hope that you take the time to check out all 16 blogs! With so many different looks and creations, there is so much creativity to inspire you. There is something for every different creative style. So lets get hopping! This month we are all about the Perennial Essence Suite products from the 2019 - 2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Have you seen this gorgeous suite yet? The products of this suite can be found on pg.106 - 108 in the new Annual Catalogue. So pretty! This amazing suite has a the gorgeous Floral Essence Stamp Set and the coordinating Perennial Essence Flower Punch. Got to love the Stampin' Up! product coordination! Another amazing product in this fantastic suite is the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. The Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper features hand-painted impressionistic imagery in rich colours and it is beautiful enough to be framed on its own! Just so stunning! I've combined the Floral Essence Stamp set and the beautiful Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper with some of the other stunning products in this suite - Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock, 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon in Petal Pink and the Perennial Essence Floral Centres. I've used the colours from one of the sheets of the DSP as the colours for my projects today. I'm just a sucker for any product that has a hint of pink in it so I started my card today with the Petal Pink Vellum from the Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock, which comes in three colours - Old Olive, Petal Pink and So Saffron, and ran it through the Subtle Embossing Folder for that gorgeous 'sublte' hint of embossing. The Subtle Embossing Folder just adds that something special without it being too much. Layered with the Perennial Essence DSP, the 5/8" Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon and images from the Floral Essence Stamp set, it makes for a pretty in pink creation. I've used nearly all the same products for my second card but changed up the look. I wanted to soften the look of the DSP layer, so over that I layered an embossed layer of Vellum Cardstock. The colours of the DSP show through the vellum but the 'busyness' of the DSP is toned down. I've embossed the flowers with Gold Stampin' Emboss powder on Shimmery White Cardstock and then using an Aqua Painter, water coloured the flowers with Petal Pink Classic Ink. The touches of gold really accent the Petal Pink elements and the Crushed Curry tones in the DSP and the embellishments. I love how these all these elements look layered up and the Basic Black sentiment panel is a beautiful contrast to the soft colours on the rest of the card. This is such a gorgeous and pretty suite and I do hope that I've given you some inspiration on using some of the products from the Perennial Essence Suite. It's just so pretty! Welcome to the July Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team's Blog Hop. This month we are sharing projects featuring products from the Perennial Essence Suite. Make sure to hop around everyone's blog for lots of inspirational ideas ... you won't want to miss them! Isn't this Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper pretty? Teamed with all the other products in the Perennial Essence Suite there are endless ways to create feminine floral projects. The flowers on this card have been embossed in Gold Emboss Powder on Shimmery White Card stock and water-coloured with Flirty Flamingo and Crushed Curry Ink. I've also water-coloured the background with Crushed Curry Ink and added a few splatters. The sentiment has been Gold Embossed on the Petal Pink Vellum from the Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock pack. The hand-painted imagery on this Designer Series Paper makes it almost too pretty to cover up! The die from Stitched Labels Framelits Dies has a Crushed Curry wash over it and is layered up over a piece of the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon - it's so sparkly and delicate. These flowers have been stamped in Petal Pink and fussy cut - I always leave a little white border around anything I fussy cut, I think it gives a softer look. My cards all have a few Iridescent Sequins sprinkled around and a bow tied in Linen Thread. Next up on the hop is my gorgeous and super-talented friend Ashley Van Camp. Please click on the link below to continue on the hop. And here's a sneak peek of the amazing collection of projects the team have created! Enjoy the rest of the hop!
