I used the Stampin’ Up! Happiest of Days stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today. We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I created for it.
CARD Happiest Christmas Wishes from the Stampin Up Detailed Deer bundle in the Holiday Catalog. The deer is stamped in Cherry Cobbler, and cut with the coordinating dies. Then layered over ovals cut with the Layering Ovals dies. The Very Vanilla oval was textured with the Subtle Embossing Folder.
HAPPIEST OF DAYS CLEAR-MOUNT STAMP SET has the sweetest set of presents. I stamped them across a 2 1/2"x 51/4" piece is white card stock 3 times and then colored them in Soft Sky and Smoky Slate makers. I think it matched the BUNDLE OF LOVE SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER perfectly. To add some shimmer and shine I heat embossed the leaves from the Happiest of Days set in silver and added a 1/4" of silver pair on the top and the bottom. Think of how many color combination you could make with is template! Happy stamping! www.kris.stampinup.net
I'm in love with the quick and simple card, and so happy to finally be playing with some of my purchases from the new catalogue - that big brown box has just been looking at me as saying please play with me! The "sketchy" designs of the Happiest of Days stamp set took my eye when I first saw this set. I love how simple this card was to make, just one stamp and a little colour, here it is: I took the liberty of adding a little bling with the Iridescent Sequin Assortment, not only does the pack have a variety of colours, there is also 3 different sizes, 5mm, 4mm & 3mm - the tiny ones are sooooo cute! I also stamped the inside of the card and coloured the flower with Delightful Daffodil, Calypso Coral and a touch of Fresh Fig using an Aqua Painter. Today I took part in a "shoe box" swap with some of the other demonstrators in my local area - there aren't that many of us, so it was nice to meet up and share some project ideas. The idea is that everyone designs a project and brings everything needed to make it in a "shoe box" - the projects are then passed around the table and everyone takes home a selection of "new" ideas. I wanted to make a card with a small gift, something that makes a quick last minute gift. The colours I used are Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla, the stamp set is the gorgeous UK exclusive Everything Eleanor. This was a fairly simple design, with some flowers cut out and layered with dimensionals and a large pearl for the centre and a length of Victoria Crochet Trim. This is the side view of the card. This is the inside with the chocolate bar and a "thank you" stamped with the Oval All stamp set. My project was inspired by the colours of the wrapper on my chocolate bar!! If you would like to join our next "shoe box" swap, contact me to find out how easy it is to start your own Stampin' Up! business - join my team of Sparkly Angel's before 30th March and you can choose a stamp set of any value FREE!! I would like to say a huge "Thank You to Margaret who hosted this swap in her home and surprised us all with a gorgeous buffet lunch she had kindly made before we arrived. I will hopefully get the other projects I made photographed in the next few days and share them - there are some fabulous ideas!! Angela x

Yes, I know we all hate to create cards for this occasion, but Linda Bedinger helped make it easier for me. My card base is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4". Added to that is a mat of Misty Moonlight 5 1/4" x 4". On a 5" x 3 3/4" piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the sentiment from the retire Heartfelt Sympathy in Misty Moonlight ink. At the bottom, in Garden Green ink 2nd generation, I stamped 3 sets of leaves from the Boho Indigo Stamp Set. I adhered a 6" strip of 1/4" Very Vanilla Gold Ribbon from the Boho Indigo Product Medley to a 1/2" x 5" piece of DSP from the Medley. I used two of the palm fronds and two flowers from the Medley and adhered them with liquid glue and Dimensionals. Then I adhered the art panel to a 5 1/4" x 4" mat of Misty Moonlight and adhered that to the card front. On the inside I stamped the sentiment from Heartfelt Sympathy in Misty Moonlight on a 5" x 3 3/4" piece of Very Vanilla. Again, I adhered a 6" piece of ribbon around a 5" x 3/4" piece of the same DSP as on the front. I adhered the mat to a 5 1/4" x 4" mat of Misty Moonlight. Thank you for stopping by today.
