In 1978, a young Australian surfer founded the UGG brand on the shores of Southern California. His Aussie roots forged a strong love for sheepskin and he was convinced the world would one day share this love. By the mid 1980's, the UGG brand had become a symbol of relaxed southern California culture, gaining momentum through surf shops up and down the California coast.

Stunning Lead Crystal Triangular Prism Vase from the 1980s In a very striking Bluey Green Teal colour, the original stickers are in place. This would look particularly wonderful on a window sill where the prism can catch the light ! Very attractive, and a real talking point! Approx 23.5cm tall Approx 6cm diameter at the widest part Excellent vintage condition indeed. Stunning. No obvious chips or cracks - you may note some bubbles in the glass but this is all part of the handmade glass process. It is vintage, so some aging is to be expected, but this is really in excellent condition indeed. This has obviously been a very cared for and much loved piece. The Italian glass making tradition is millenia old, dating to antiquity. Although Egyptian and Mesopotamian cultures created glass objects, historians trace the beginnings of glass as an art form to the Roman Republic, when ancient artists were creating simple vessels by coating solid cores with molten glass. Venetian or Murano glass, terms that are today nearly synonymous with Italian glass, draws heavily on these Roman forms. Thank you for looking at my vintage pieces. The Neostyle VIP is one of the great West German aviators of the 1980s. This frame is not only an exceptional piece of fashion and culture history, it also features an absolutely amazing lens switch mechanism. Much more simple and efficient than other mechanisms of the same era, the temple features two hinges instead of one, and you can simply open the front hinge to switch the lenses. To me, this is the best solution, and it must have been the lack of promotional budget and mass appeal of the frame that lead to other systems becoming the industry standard instead of this one. The craftsmanship by far surpasses all other efforts of producing timeless eyewear in that era. Exceptional quality. A highly wearable museum piece of breathtaking beauty. Made in West Germany in the 1980s. This full set includes: - Neostyle Sunsport VIP frame with double hinge lens switching mechanism, black and gold metal. - Original brown mirror lenses with 100% UV protection and Neostyle logo. - Original green gradient lenses with 100% UV protection and Neostyle logo. - Original Neostyle Sunsport VIP case with extra lens storage pockets.
