Bigfork, Montana is one of the last places on the planet where I would expect to see a 1970 Morris Minor 1000 van, but that's where this nice little example is located. The seller has it posted on Craigslist with an asking price of $4,500. Jamie is our resident expert on British vehicles so hopefully...

Morris Minor 1000 Traveller (1962-71) Engine 1098cc S4 OHV Production 303,443 Registration Number WCG 721 H (Salisbury) MORRIS SET www.flickr.com/photos/45676495@N05/sets/72157623690377489... Produced as a 2 and 4 door Saloon and Traveller (Estate) The Morris Minor MM was introduced in 1948, with a 918cc SV engine, designed by Sir Alec Issigonis with rack and pinion steering, torsion bar independant front suspension and excellent handling. Updated for the series II (1952-56) the lights were repositioned on the front wings, which were a little more pert and the more powerful 803cc Austin A30 OHV engine. With the third update the car was renamed Minor 1000 series and the wooden straked Traveller (Estate) joined the range. The car received a single piece wind screen, a larger rear window, new grille and 14 inch wheels. Power was increased with a new 948cc 37bhp engine matched to a close ratio box. For the final series 1962-71 the car received a 1098cc BMC S4 OHV engine with 48bhp. There were very few other significant changes. The last Convertible/Tourer was manufactured on 18 August 1969 with the Saloon continueing until November 1970, and the Traveller soldiering on until April 1971.
