Our simple, chic tracker linen is handcrafted on a machine from the 1940s, which allows for a more delicate process and resultant weave. The unique blend of a coarse cotton count on the warp helped with a coarser count of linen in the weft produces a versatile, lightweight fabric with a beautiful handle and sense of structure. This thing is pretty amazing… a fringed pillow cover or sham from the Iowa State Fair. This one is believed to be from the 1940s-50s. It shows a good amount of wear, staining, wrinkles, and fading but despite that… still displays very well (please see photos). The cover measures about 17 inches long and 19 inches tall. 1940s peachy satin baby blanket quilt featuring fat butterflies and “Baby” in a heart. The satin is soft, the inner filling has thinned and it has a small stain or two. But it would make a lovely wall or other display in a vintage-themed baby room. I believe this was custom made for a particular baby. Or at least custom embroidered. App 30” by 28”. Pink baby pillow sham featuring a fat, embroidered butterfly. 1940s. This definitely matches the baby blanket design but it is pink not peach. It’s possible the blanket faded with sun and washing. App 15” x 12”. I would use for display only. The pillow tucks into folds in the back.
These came from a trunk owned by a couple who were married in the early 1950s. I believe they were a wedding gift or hope chest item that was never used. Light weight sheet like fabric, no tags. 2 pillow cases with gorgeous floral embroidery and cut outs with a scalloped edge. Coverlet matches pillow cases. I haven’t laundered. There are some storage discolorations that I expect would come out with laundering, also they may whiten up some. There may be more discolorations that I had room to picture, again all from storage.A beautiful set for spring and summer. What a fun, unique piece of WWll memorabilia! This is a vintage 1940s pillow sham from a soldier dedicated to sister. I estimate this to be from the 1940s. There are no tags on the inside. It is in fairly good vintage condition. It does have some pulls and runs in the fabric. There are a couple longer fringe pieces that could easily be trimmed. There aren't any stains but there are some wrinkles and a fold down the center. Other than that it's in good shape for it's age. There is no pillow insert included. This is just the sham. It measures 16" x 16" and then the fringe is about 1.5" long. Please be sure to see all of the pictures for more information about this item. The pictures are also the best way to see the wear. Presenting a beautiful vintage embroidered ecru/beige linen pillow sham featuring a pretty embroidered flower and scroll design done in shades of green, brown, red, orange and blue rayon floss and wool. The lovely design would work so well with the modern farmhouse interiors popular today. The pillow sham has the same linen on its back as on its front. I am dating this textile to 1940's give or take. This vintage sham is clean and ready to use. I don't notice any marks or stains, holes or tears, animal hair or odors. There are a few negligible pulls to the embroidery as shown in the photo closeups. You might want to press the sham before use as it has a few wrinkles from storage. I would fill it with a slightly larger pillow form so it puffs out nicely. There is no button closure. You could always add a button once it’s filled. Lovely vintage hand embroidered and hand made pillowcover. This cover is made of a nice sturdy cotton fabric and is ready for use. It appears to have seen little use if any. It is in a soft ivory shade with pretty pink and green cross stitched floral detailing. It has a side opening as you can see in the photos. There are no flaws to mention other then what comes with age and storage of vintage linens. It has been freshly laundered and dried in the summer shine. It is crisp and clean and ready for use or to give as a gift. This item measures approx. 16"x14". Obtained at a seaside estate sale in Cape Cod, MA.
