This intriguing vintage three ring set is soldered together and is accented with ten (10) prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, and four (4) bead set old mine cut diamonds. The set measures 13.7mm at the top, rises 8.8mm above the finger, tapering to 2.9mm wide and 1.1mm thick at the base of the shanks. This appears to be a vintage, circa 1940s, wedding set that was saved and incorporated in this sparkling diamond ring.

Celebrities from the Marx Brothers to Marlon Brando and Shirley Temple were among the fans of Wil Wright’s ice-cream parlors. In the early days of her career Marilyn Monroe would regularly drop by for a hot fudge sundae after acting class, and it featured in multiple films and an episode of the comedy TV series I Love Lucy. The album cover of Brubeck a la Mode by jazz musician Dave Brubeck was shot in a Wil Wright’s. The ice-cream emporium was also beloved by tens of thousands of Southern California kids, some of whom still mourn its demise today. Established in the 1940s by Wil ( short for Wilbur) Wright, who was originally from Cincinnati, there were locations in Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Westwood Village, Sunset Strip and Pasadena as well as an outlet at a Neiman Marcus department store in Dallas, Texas. Three restaurants - the Piccadilly, the Ready Room and the Hamburger Hamlet in Los Angeles – were also allowed to serve its 22 per cent butterfat ice-cream. The ice-cream flavors were tantalizing – Dutch chocolate, peppermint stick, English toffee, pineapple pecan, pistachio and black coffee. Another was the strangely named Nesselrode Bula – which was chock full of candied fruits and chestnuts along with rum and brandy. This fruit-cake confection was said to be a favorite of film star Clark Gable. Every portion of ice-cream came with a tiny, chewy almond-flavored macaroon in a rice paper bag that had the image of an angel and the phrase ‘it’s heavenly.’ The chain flourished in the 40s, 50s and 60s and many times chauffeurs would drive up to the Sunset Boulevard store to purchase quarts of ice-cream for the movie stars of the day like Doris Day and Gary Cooper or their studio bosses. In the 70s, Wil Wright’s faced competition from other ice-cream emporiums such as Farrell’s Old-Time Ice Cream Parlors and an article in the LA Times pointing out that i’s ice-cream was richer and fatter than other brands probably didn’t help either. The chain was sold to restaurateur Dennis Lowell in the 80s but didn’t regain its former glory. This striking menu cover with Wil Wright’s signature and candy cane stripes will bring back memories for some. I was so excited when I found this purse! Offering a beyond gorgeous vintage high-end designer, "Whiting & Davis" 1940s - 1950s era off-white/light ivory mesh Art Deco flapper purse made by Whiting & Davis in EXCELLENT vintage condition and perfect for the Bride! If you've ever seen one of these purses in person you know just how well made they are. The mesh has a wonderful fluidity and movement so it shimmers as it catches the light. I love the SO 1920s Art Deco flapper design of this one. The metal frame is matte gold and the bag measures 9 3/4 inches high and is 6 3/4 inches wide along the bottom so it will easily fit your essentials including your phone. The gorgeous long chain strap, when extended, is 16 inches above the top of the purse in the middle. The purse is lined with ivory colored satiny fabric that is attached securely with no fraying or discoloration other than a few very faint very small ink marks. It has an pocket on one side. The outside of the purse is in near PRISTINE vintage condition with no breaks in the mesh, no chips to the enamel, the ornate gold tone link chain fantastic, and the pinch clasp functioning perfectly and the finish of the matte gold tone frame still fantastic. Stunning late 1930's/early 1940's flocked floral satin vintage wedding gown. Dress features a flattering sweetheart neck, very puffed sleeves, Victorian style buttons down the back, wide waistband, long train and gathering around the bust. There's rosettes at upper chest with wax flowers at the centers. Color is more of a buttercream than cream or white. Dress is in overall good condition, but could use a professional cleaning. There's 3 areas of spots near the hem mostly on the right side of the train, but there's a small area on the left side as well (see photos). There's a few small 1/8" spots one at right sleeve cap, left skirt and one at right front sleeve. There's a small lipstick mark at right side front neck. 2 small 1/4" holes at back right neck (see photos of all issues). Hem edge is dirty around. Please note that the dress is made up of 2 fabrics in the same color and print, but some of the floral design is just painted dots (into the shapes of flowers) and in other areas there's fuzzy flocking on the dots. NOTE: if taking to a dry cleaner - make sure you or they remove the wax flowers as these are likely to melt with the dry cleaning heat. No label - appears to have been skillfully handmade!
