Colleen and Randy's kids have been busy! Yes, another grandchild arrived a couple weeks ago, this time a grandson. . And, after my horrible delay at getting a card to them on the arrival of their granddaughter, I wasn't going to miss a beat on this grandchild. Even though I was on vacation at the time, I knew ahead of time it was going to be a boy, so I had the card made, the envelope addressed and stamped. The moment I knew of the baby's arrival, the card went in the mail! Without further ado, here it is: Aren't those shoes cute?? It's a very old stamp from Stampabilities. I used to stamp these on white paper that had a leather-ish look to it. But, I can't find it anymore, so I bought some 'pleather' (vinyl fake leather) from JoAnn's and stamped the image with StazOn, cut out and popped them up on a Nesties diecut. I like the pleather better than the cardstock because it provides a soft texture to the card. Can't remember where the sentiment is from (sorry!), but the scallop border is a Fiskars punch and the button is made from a PTI button die. The tag is a punch from Martha Stewart. Patterned paper from my stash, cardstock from PTI also. Congrats Colleen and Randy on grandchild #8! Thanks for peeking!

How gorgeous is this Daisy Chain Border Stamp by Darkroom Door? The stamp is large enough to stamp a border front and back on a folded card. Card size is 6". De stempel is lang genoeg om een boord te stempelen op de voor- en achterkant van een kaart. De vierkante kaart meet 15 cm. I stamped with Distress Oxide inks and used a brush to 'watercolor'. I also added splatters using the same Distress Oxides. Gestempeld met Distress Oxide inkten, en met een penseel geschilderd. Met dezelfde inkten ook spatjes gemaakt. I chose a large stamp from the new Birthday Greetings set, stamped with Wendy Vecchi Archival ink Night Sky. Een grote tekststempel uit de nieuwe Birthday Greetings set erbij gekozen, afgedrukt met Wendy Vecchi Archival inkt Night Sky I used: Darkroom Door Stamp Set: Birthday Greetings Darkroom Door Border Stamp: Daisy Chain Distress Oxide Inkpads: Prize Ribbon, Crushed Olive, Evergreen Bough Wendy Vecchi Archival Inkpad: Night Sky

I was going through my files the other day, after Apple informed me my I Cloud was almost full, deleting "A BUNCH OF STUFF", when I saw my cards made with the Memory Box Tilth die. I just had to get it out and use it, to give the flower yet another "look"! HERE are my other cards...now for yet another look... I thought it would be cool to make a daisy...white tilth and yellow center. I die cut 3 of the flowers, then, like my last card with this die, I CAREFULLY cut in between each of the petals with scissors to give the flowers a bit more flex and body then trimmed each petal. I HAVE EDITED THIS POST WITH THE FOLLOWING PICS TO SHOW YOU HOW I CUT THE FLOWERS: When you cut between the flower petals, there is a little piece of leftover, so I actually flip the flower over to trim that little piece that my scissor is pointing to off of the petal (it's easier to trim that little piece off with the flower flipped on the wrong side....just saying), so it looks like this... I cannot stress CAREFULLY enough, but if you conquer that, spread them out a tiny bit (think it gives the flower a kind of sketched look with the petals tips looking more squared than rounded...LOVE) used threaded button, and attached to die cut, popped up card. The sentiment is from Michael's, a Recollection stamp from a set of 7 sentiment stamps. LOVE finding new ways to use old dies!!!! FUN!!!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa InLinkz.com
I needed several sympathy cards lately... I used a Hero Arts stamp to stamp a Distress Oxide background for the flower stamp. The flower was stamped with black Archival ink, and colored with pencils. The official start of spring is just weeks away and I don't know about you but I'm ready for warmer temperatures. I'll admit, I did my share of whining this winter when Florida temperatures dipped into the upper 50's and low 60's during the day and in the low 40's at night. This Florida girl […]
