Day 01: winter While I scoured through my family photos trying to find a picture related to winter I was reminded of a website that hosts a lot of old family pictures from an area of Virginia where my family lived. Born Bernice De Neveu Ackerman (1898-1995) in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri, USA. Bernice 'Bea' Ackerman attended the University of Kansas and studied Art and taught dancing thruout her schooling there. She then won a scholarship in painting and went east to study at Provincetown, Mass. and while there took part in the Ziegfeld Follies. Bernice sang and danced in the Ziegfeld Follies to good acclaim. Did some modeling for A.C. Johnson as well. Later at one of her art exhibits, she was to meet her husband Lester Martin. When framed, these monochrome prints make an attractive addition to the period entertainment lovers decor. Lovingly printed to order on heavyweight gloss 210 g/m2 photo paper using high end printing techniques. All prints shipped securely in hard backed envelopes so as to avoid damage during transit.
