Мы проведем в ней 100 лет, познакомимся с несколькими поколениями семьи, станем свидетелями встреч и расставаний, горя и счастья, потерь и надежд, какие пережили многие семьи в России. В истории простых обитателей старой московской квартиры отразилась история нашей страны в ХХ веке. Ее рассказали нам не только сами герои, но и их вещи: мебель и одежда, посуда и книги, игры и предметы быта. Ведь предметы несут в себе отпечаток времени, хранят память и следы эпохи, в которую они были созданы и служили. Они — свидетели той истории, о которой не пишут в учебниках, но которая очень важна для каждого из нас, истории наших семей, наших друзей, истории нас самих. Написала книгу и собрала множество документов, архивных фотографий и артефактов эпохи Александра Литвина. Нарисовала точно и метко разные эпохи жизни нашей страны художник Анна Десницкая.
